A native of Madison County, Mrs. Albert was a graduate of Georgia State Normal School and the University of Georgia. She had resided in Athens since 1918 and retired from teaching in Barrow County in 1976. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church for 79 years. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Joe Berry officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Charles R. Albert; three daughters, Judith Thompson, Claxton, and Diane Adams and Jeannie Hartis, both of Athens; two sisters, Mildred Turner and Sarah Jefferson, both of Athens; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family is at the Adams home, 450 Cloverhurst Ave., and will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at Bridges Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church. Dennis E. Bradley Demorest Dennis E. Bradley, 74, of 2256 Highway 115 West died Saturday, Aug. 9, 1997. A native of Union County, Mr. Bradley was a son of the late Christopher and Bessie Jackson Bradley. A World War II veteran, he served 20 years in the Navy and 20 years in civil service, and also had worked as a home building contractor. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Peggy Love officiating. Survivors include his wife, Betty Bradley, California; three daughters, Penny Hanson, Klamsall, Ore., Aleta Garrison, Westminster, Calif., Nona Bradley, Victorville, Calif.; two sons, Dennis Bradley, Marino Valley, Calif., and Patrick Bradley, Boulder City, Nev.; four sisters, Alvie Bailey, Charlotte, N.C., Betty Queen, Lexington, Wilda Gilbreath, San Antonio, Texas, and Lois Bradley, Athens; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens. Kathleen Brewer Savannah Kathleen Veale Brewer, 89, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 1997. A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Day was a daughter of the late A.B. and Fannie Brock Cobb. She was employed by Coats & Clark for 34 years and was of the Baptist faith. George Gray Carnesville George Gray, 62, of 101 Gray Road died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 1997. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Gray was a son of the late Frank and Irene Ginn Gray. He was a retired school bus driver with the Franklin County School System, a farmer and a produce dealer. He was of the Baptist faith. Haynes died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 1997. A native of Murray County, Mrs. Haynes was a daughter of the late Thomas William and Alline Gregory Brooks and the widow of B. Carl Haynes Jr. She attended West Georgia College and Emory School of Nursing and was a registered nurse. She was retired after 25 years at Athens General Hospital, where she was director of nursing and utilization review coordinator. She was a member of Friendship Presbyterian Church.
