A native of Cullman, Ala., Mr. Adair was the widower of Gayle Adair and was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Jackson. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of First Baptist Church and a founding member of the local chapter of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home with John Mobley officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Edmond Adair, Florida; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Helen Carson Roswell Helen Grizzle Carson, 82, of 420 Knollwood Terrace died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Carson was a daughter of the late Harvey B. and Wordie Dudley Grizzle and the widow of Verner Mathew Carson. She was a former president of National Message Center and was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Pruitte Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. Danny Barton officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Alyce Carson, Roswell; four sisters, Montine Rice, Royston, Orene Barber, Roswell, Wetona Diemer, Cypress, Calif., and Nancy Moon, Danielsville; a half-sister, Delores McCarley, Roswell; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Floyd Dillashaw Alto Floyd Dillashaw, 76, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997. A native of Habersham County, Mr. Dillashaw was a son of the late Grover and Minnie Miller Dillashaw. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at B.C. Grant Baptist Church with the Revs. Clyde Garrison and John Cooley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Mae R. Fulbright, 50, of 252 Richardson St. died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997. A native of Stephens County, Ms. Fulbright was a daughter of the late James Clyde and Mattie Roach Fulbright. She was a retired licensed practical nurse at Stephens County Hospital and a member of Rock Quarry Congregational Holiness Church. Main St. died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997. A native of Lanette, Ala., Mr. Ruffin was a son of the late Mae Gamel. He was an executive director of elementary education, participated in the National Study of School Evaluation and was a member of Education Association. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Simmons Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Edna B. Ruffin; a daughter, Hilda R. Hood, Jasper, Ala.; four grandsons; and great-grandchildren. Jeane S. Syme Athens Jeane S. Syme, 86, of 110 E. Paces Drive died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997. Mrs. Syme was the widow of George Syme Jr. She was a graduate of Iowa State University and a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, First Presbyterian Church and Chapter AD of P.E.O.
