A native of Orange County, Calif., Mrs. Coile was a daughter of Noah Charles Dawson of De Queen, Ark., and Annie Jon Veilluex Dawson of Elberton. She was employed in the quality control department of Monroe Auto Equipment Co. in Hartwell and was of the Baptist faith. She was raised by her grandmother, Janet Marie Nile of Elberton. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Survivors, in addition to her parents and her grandmother, include her husband, Scott Coile; two sisters, Shelly Marie Dawson and Rebecca Jean Greenway, both of Elberton; and four brothers, Charles Noah Dawson, James Harper, John Barry Harper and Jeffrey Bruce Harper, all of Elberton. Minnie Davidson Athens Minnie Lee Davidson, 83, of 370 Willow Run died Sunday, June 15, 1997. A native of Hall County, Ms. Davidson was a daughter of the late Grover C. and Eula Mangum Davidson. She had worked as a registered nurse at Athens Regional Medical Center and was a member of Forest Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bernstein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Purdy officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include two sisters, Mary Lou Davidson, Athens, and Lula B. Patton, Jonesboro; a brother, Albert A. Davidson, Fayetteville; a niece; and a nephew. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Samuel 'Pap' Freeman Colbert Samuel "Pap" Freeman, 77, of 266 Fourth Ave. died Saturday, June 14, 1997. A native of Madison County, Mr. Freeman was retired from Fritz-Mar and was a member of Colbert Grove Baptist Church, where he served as usher board president and Sunday school superintendent. He was an ordained deacon. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Colbert Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Gantt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She had been an employee at Coats & Clark for more than 40 years, and was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4346 Auxiliary. Annie Mitchell Martin Annie Lee Mitchell, 86, of 16425 Georgia Highway 17 died Sunday, June 15, 1997. A native of Hart County, Mrs. Mitchell was a daughter of the late Samuel Alvin Cobb and Arthur Mae Watson and the widow of Corbitt Thomas Mitchell. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Bill Stacey and Billy Owensby officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Stella Ostle Athens Stella Marr Ostle, 85, of 453 Hill St. died Friday, June 13, 1997. A native of England who had been in America since 1946 and lived in Athens for 20 years, Mrs. Ostle was a teacher and a homemaker. She was a painter and a poet, a devoted mother and grandmother, an avid biker, hiker and tennis player and active in church work. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Robert D. Ostle, and a brother, George Marr. Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Monday at Emmanuel Episcopal Church with the Revs. James W. Williams and Porter Taylor officiating. Burial was in Oconee Hill Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Peter H. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. Witcher was a daughter of the late John and Katie Hubbard Fleming and the widow of Marcus Witcher. She had been a bus driver for Oglethorpe County schools and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, where she served on the board of deaconesses.
