Archer, 88, of 1080 Nowhere Road died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997. A native of Union County, Mrs. Archer was a daughter of the late Marion Lewell and Georgia Parham Lowe and the widow of Grady Gordon Archer. She was preceded in death by a son, Harold Jackson Archer. She was the retired owner and operator of the American Cafe. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home West, Bogart, with the Revs. Don Fuller and Dan Fuller officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include a daughter, Dot Oldham, Colbert; a sister, Reba Fuller, Athens; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bill Chandler, Everett Cox, James Lance, Freddy Hunt, Clayton Lowe and Dewey Lance. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Dorothy Bailey Hartwell Dorothy Sara Walters Bailey, 80, of 720 Will Bailey Road died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997. A native of Hart County, Mrs. Bailey was a daughter of the late Sewell N. and Sara Nancy White Walters. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday school class. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Mount Olivet Baptist Church with the Revs. Joe Black, Sam Teel and Luther Kay officiating. Burial will be in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Survivors include her husband, Ray D. Bailey; two sons, Hugh Wilson Bailey and Don L. Joe Baker Toccoa Joe Brown Baker, 89, of 526 Pine St. died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Baker was a son of the late Nora Baker. He was preceded in death by two sons, Bodie Baker and Leon Baker. He was retired from Coats & Clark after 34 years of service and was a member of Toccoa Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Scott officiating. Burial will be in Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery. Branan, 99, of 240 Cambridge Ave. died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997. A native of Burke County, Mrs. Branan was a daughter of the late David Edward and Mary Moseley Hunter and the widow of Dr. Clarence Newton Branan. A graduate of the Atlanta Conservatory of Music, she was a retired music teacher. She was a member of Beech Haven Baptist Church and a former member of Lexington Baptist Church, where she was church pianist, president of the WMU and a Sunday school teacher. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Clark Cemetery, Lexington, with Dr. Stewart Simms officiating. Survivors include a son, David N. Branan, Comer; a daughter, Betty B. A native of Habersham County, Mr. Williams was a son of the late Ethol Henry and Lavenia Free Williams. He was retired from the state Department of Transportation and appeared regularly on the Top of Georgia Jamboree, the Billy Dilworth Radio Show and the Billy Dilworth Television Show. He had entertained Gov. Zell Miller and former Govs. Lester Maddox and Jimmy Carter. He was a member of Alto Baptist Church.
