A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Callaway was a daughter of the late Arthur and Sarah Hillsman. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mack & Payne Funeral Home with Brother Clarence Clarke Sr. officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. William Daniel Atlanta William Vinson "Bill" Daniel, 93, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997. Mr. Daniel was a retired barber and a member of Hapeville Masonic Lodge 590. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at C.J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Al Bruce officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, East Point. Annias Downer Washington Annias Downer, 77, of 248 Blackmon Farm Road, died Monday, Oct. 13, 1997. A native of Wilkes County, Mr. Downer was a son of the late Albert and Sallie Downer. Davenport-McLendon Mortuary Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Leon Pirtle Athens Leon Pirtle, 40, of 195 Sharon Lane, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997. A native of St. Louis, Mo., Mr. Pirtle was a son of James Melvin Pirtle of Athens and the late Janetta Rednour Pirtle. He lived most of his life in Athens and was employed by Heyward Allen Motor Co. He was a member of Faith Evangelical Methodist Church, the Christian Motorcycle Association and Athens Moose Lodge 767. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Chapelwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chuck Powell officiating. Survivors, in addition to his father, include his wife, Christie Salerno Pirtle; a daughter, Carmen Ann Pirtle, Athens; two sons, Christopher Elliott Pirtle and Caelan Salerno Pirtle, both of Athens; a sister and brother-in-law, Zinetta and Jerry McDonald, Madison County; a brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Jackie Smith, Arnold, Mo.; a mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ann and Samuel Salerno, Statham; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Craig Daniel, Winterville; four nieces and a nephew. Wilma G. Poss Conyers Wilma Grace Poss, 81, of 491 Cedar Lane, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Poss was a daughter of the late Ben and Rosie Fields Poss. She was retired from Blue Bell Manufacturing and was a member of Meadow Baptist Church and the adult ladies Sunday school class. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at Meadow Baptist Church with the Revs. Eugene Pettyjohn and Dayton Logan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Ollie Mae Poss, Canton; a son-in-law, Joe Christian, Conyers; two grandchildren, Danny Christian, Loganville, and Timothy Christian, Conyers; seven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
