A homemaker, she was retired from Elberton Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Bowman Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Bowman Baptist Church with the Rev. John Forbes officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Survivors include her husband, Emmitt Bowen; two daughters, Patricia B. Brenda D. Fowler Farmington Brenda D. Fowler, 47, of 1010 Maynes Mill Road died Wednesday, July 16, 1997. A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Fowler was a daughter of the late Ober F. and Annie M. Bates Duvall. She was employed at Immediate MedCare, Watkinsville, and was a member of Bishop Baptist Church. Joe Hall Tucker Joe Hill Hall, 89, formerly of Elberton, died Wednesday, July 16, 1997. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Hall was a son of the late George Pierce and Essie Seymour Hall and the widower of Reba Moore Hall and Thelma Hendricks Hall. A retired farmer, he was an Army veteran of World War II, where he served in the Medical Corps, and a member of American Legion Post 123 and Elberton Christian Church. Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. today at Berry Funeral Home, Elberton, with the Rev. Bill Eaton officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Squire 'Jack' Jernigan Greensboro Squire "Jack" Jernigan, 73, died Tuesday, July 15, 1997. A native of Greene County, Mr. Jernigan was a son of the late Jack Walker and Ella B. Hall. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from the Colbert Texaco station. He was also a member of Woodmen of the World. Retired U.S. Navy Master Chief Petty Officer Nelson S. Richard, 53, formerly of Toccoa, died Thursday, June 12, 1997. A native of Walhalla, S.C., Master Chief Petty Officer Richard was a son of Mary Gibson of Toccoa and the late Leonard Richard. He served 26 years in the Navy and after retirement worked for the Virginia Beach Correctional Center. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 5, Norfolk.
