A native of Anderson County, S.C., Mrs. Gillam was a daughter of the late Clarence and Irish Brown Harris and the widow of Lloyd Gillam. She was a homemaker. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Hicks Funeral Home. Burial will be in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include two sisters, Beatrice Evans, Iva, S.C., and Betty Hill, Augusta; three brothers, John Harris, Dan Harris and Clarence Harris Jr., all of Iva; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Annie Hambrick Royston Annie Pauline Adams Hambrick, 60, of 552 Athens Road died Tuesday, June 17, 1997. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Hambrick was a daughter of the late Hampton A. and Annie Pendergrass Adams. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Marie Hambrick. She was a homemaker and a member of Gordon Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pruitte Funeral Home with the Revs. Ron Cofer and Luther Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Gordon Church Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Albert H. Hambrick; a son, Anthony H. The family is at the residence and will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Walter C. Hamilton Jefferson Walter C. "W.C." Hamilton, 70, of 2271 Georgia Highway 82 South died Tuesday, June 17, 1997. A native of Carroll County, Mr. Hamilton was a son of the late Susan Ellen and Walter C. Hamilton Sr. An Army veteran of World War II, he had worked as a developer and was of the Presbyterian faith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Swayne Cochran and Dennis Kesler officiating. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Irene Hamilton; two daughters, Tracey Hamilton and Carolyn Satterfield, both of Jefferson; two sons, Mike Hamilton and Bud Healan, both of Jefferson; a brother, Thomas Hamilton, Lavonia; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nephews. Andrew Johnson East Point Andrew "Sol" Johnson died Saturday, June 14, 1997. Dr. Johnson was a native of Athens. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Marshall Newsome Mortuary, Riverdale, with Dr. Eugene Walker officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Maley was a daughter of the late Early and Jennie Howington Wilkins and the widow of Doyle Jackson Maley. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Doyle Marie Crocker. She had been employed by the Madison County Board of Education for more than 38 years and was a member of Hull Baptist Church and the Ruth-Gleaners Sunday School class. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Revs. Randy Crowe and Bobby Jones officiating. Burial will be in Coile Cemetery. Settles McMillan, 88, of Harmony Drive died Sunday, June 15, 1997. A native of Madison County, Mrs. McMillan was a daughter of the late John H. and Cordelia Eberhart Settles Sr. and the widow of J. Basil McMillan. She was a member of New Era Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at New Era Baptist Church with the Revs. Arthur Rivers and Isaac Whitehead officiating. McKinney-Neal Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Alice Nolan Athens Alice Nolan of 597 Dearing St. died Sunday, June 15, 1997. A native of Clarke County, Ms. Nolan was a daughter of the late Andrew and Clara Nolan. A graduate of Athens High School, she had attended Morris Brown College, Savannah State College and Boston University. She had worked as a school teacher and was retired from the Clarke County School System. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Greater Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Revs. William L. Adams and David Batts officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Survivors include two sisters, Myra N. Wilburn, Athens, and Marie N. Ricks, Dublin; and nieces and nephews. Born in McDowell County, W.Va., Mr. Salyers was a son of the late Lee Ander and Minnie Sula Williams Salyers and the widower of Maggie Grant Salyers. He was a retired sanitation worker for Elberton, a former National Guard member and a member of Twin Oaks Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Hicks Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. A native of Ouachita, La., Mr. Slocum was a son of the late Cleveland Flanders Slocum and Cora Moore and the widower of Estelle Malone Slocum. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Floy Charlotte Slocum, and a son, Kenneth Eugene Slocum. He had been a salesman with Borden Dairy Products for 20 years and was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church in West Monroe, La.
