A native of Jefferson County, Mrs. Bedgood was the widow of Willie Thomas Bedgood. She was a homemaker. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Crawfordville City Cemetery with the Revs. Gary Nicholas and Reggie Haslett officiating. Survivors include two grandsons, Roy Dozier, Crawfordville, and Thomas Dozier, Washington; and seven great-grandchildren. Callaway Funeral Home, Union Point, is in charge of arrangements. Mary Branan Athens Mary E. Branan, 99, of 240 Cambridge Ave. died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997. A native of Burke County, Mrs. Branan was a daughter of the late David Edward and Mary Moseley Hunter and the widow of Dr. Clarence Newton Branan. A resident of Oglethorpe County for 31 years, she was a retired music teacher. She was a graduate of the Atlanta Conservatory of Music and a student of Earl Chester Smith. She was a member of Beech Haven Baptist Church and a former member of 42 years of Lexington Baptist Church, where she was church pianist, president of WMU and a Sunday school teacher. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Clark Cemetery, Lexington, with Dr. Stewart Simms officiating. Survivors include a son, David N. Branan, Comer; a daughter, Betty B. Gann, Athens; two grandchildren, Susan G. Sheffield, Bogart, and David R. Gann, Athens; and three great-grandchildren. Howard Durand Monroe Howard Durand, 73, died Monday, Nov. 17, 1997. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Sorrells officiating. Burial will be in Hill Haven Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Betty Daniel Durand; three daughters, Patty Moon, Duluth, Jean Moon, Loganville, and Becky Atha, Monroe; a son, Mike Durand, Watkinsville; a sister, Allene Farmer, Good Hope; a brother, Doyal Durand, Canon; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Offie Mae Hayes Hartwell Offie Mae Etta York Hayes, 82, of 235 W. Gibson St. died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Hayes was a daughter of the late Ferd and Lettie Hill York and the widow of Ernest Lewis Hayes Sr. She was preceded in death by a son, Coy Lewis Hayes, and a grandson, Tim Hayes. A native of Delaware County, Ind., Mr. Johnson was a son of the late Oliver and Eula Greene Johnson. He was a line worker at Wayne Poultry and a member of Living Hope Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Whitney Akers officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Gardens. Hyzier White Lavonia Hyzier Jerome White, 65, of 951 Hartwell Road died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997. A native of Franklin County, Mr. White was a son of the late Oscar J. and Lillie J. Byrum White. He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Jerome White. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a retired textile plant manager with Collins and Aikman Co. and was employed with H.V. Kesler Body Shop. He was a Mason and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Hart County. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Crossroads Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Coleman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
