A native of Walton County, Mrs. Biggers was a daughter of late Alvin Haralson and Alice Smith Haralson and the widow of J.T. "Zeke" Biggers. She was a retired teacher in the Morgan County school system, had taught in the Oconee County school system and was a member of Madison First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Arthur Bowick's Oconee Chapel with the Revs. G. Richard Hoard and Thomas Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Monroe. Rev. Larry Carithers Elberton The Rev. Larry Onzlow Carithers, 78, of 2691 Washington Highway died Friday, Sept. 19, 1997. A native of Calhoun Falls, S.C., the Rev. Carithers was a son of the late L.O. and Alma Manning Carithers. He was a retired contractor and a member of West End Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Berry Funeral Home with the Revs. Lloyd Sheperd and Larry Brown officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Laura Duncan Winder Laura "Lorraine" Duncan, 93, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 1997. A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Duncan was a daughter of the late Seaborn and Lillie M. Duncan and the widow of Norman A. Duncan Sr.. She was a retired seamstress at Empire Manufacturing and a member of Winder First Baptist Church. She was a member of East Point First Baptist Church, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in East Point and a member of Bogart First Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service and a member of Phi Delta Lodge 148, F&AM of Homer, Banks County Association for the Advancement of Retired People and Damascus Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. A native of Banks County, Mrs. Ward was a daughter of the late Ace and Mary Stowe Caudell and the widow of Silas Ward. She was retired after many years from Carwood Manufacturing Co. and was a homemaker. She was an honorary "Mrs. America" and a member of Damascus Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, a Bible school teacher and was a member of the Ladies Sunday school class.
