A native of Banks County, Mrs. Amason was retired from Chicopee Mills. She was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Revs. Hoyt Johnson and John Griffeth officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International. Robert Beckham Augusta Robert Brian Beckham, 38, of 2227 Woodward Ave. died Thursday, June 19, 1997. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Beckham was a son of the late Harold C. and Edith Ivy Shoebridge Beckham. He was a biomedical engineer at the Medical College of Georgia, a member of Woodmen of the World and of the Baptist faith. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Elmhurst Cemetery, Elberton, with the Rev. Bill Eaton officiating. "Bill" Duff, 73, of Wayside Street died Friday, June 20, 1997. A native of Lumpkin County, Mr. Duff was a son of the late Charlie and Emma Worley Duff. He was preceded in death by two sons, Steve Duff and Phillip Duff. He was retired from Georgia Power Co., was a member of Georgia Power Co. Northeast Georgia Ambassadors, a former Boy Scout troop leader and a member of Cornelia Lodge 92 F&AM. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Cornelia First Baptist Church. Kenneth Fortson Elberton Kenneth William Fortson of 1141 Chris Franklin Road died Wednesday, June 18, 1997. Mr. Fortson was a son of Leroy Fortson Sr. and Geneva Fortson. He was employed by General Cable of Watkinsville and was a member of Love in Action Church. A native of Lexington, N.C., Mr. Hege was a son of the late Royal Webster and Jennie Fritts Hege. He was a retired enologist in the food industry. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Toccoa Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4346, Martin Lions Club and First Presbyterian Church of Toccoa. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Toccoa, with the Rev. Calvin Forrester officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Mayerbach was a daughter of the late William and Stella Nelson Holder and the widow of Andrew Mayerbach. She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Earl Johnson. William E. Morris Bogart William E. Morris, 69, of 136 Deerhollow Road died Saturday, June 21, 1997. A native of Atlanta, Mr. Morris was a son of the late William Elmer Morris and Flora Clayton Morris. He was a retired law enforcement officer with the Atlanta Police Department. Following his retirement, he worked with Hope Haven in Athens in a sheltered workshop for developmentally disabled adults. He later worked in DeKalb County as a lift-bus driver working with developmentally disabled children. He was a member of Athens First United Methodist Church, and his wife, the Rev. Carolyn W. Morris, is superintendent of the Athens-Elberton District of the United Methodist Church. Memorial services for Mr. Morris will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Athens First United Methodist Church with Bishop Lindsey Davis and the Revs. Dr. Randall Williamson and Bill Britt officiating.
