A native of France, he worked for Keystone for seven years, and Hometown Manufacturing for eight years. He was a veteran of World War II, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro, with the Rev. Richard Chewning officiating. Survivors include his wife, Minnie Marie Bernard; three sons, Kevin Bernard, Farmington, Sam Bernard, Watkinsville, and Raimon Bernard, Seymour, Ind.; and a brother, Henri Bernard, Chateauneuf, France. McCommons Funeral Home, Greensboro, is in charge of arrangements. William Burnette Winder William Norris Burnette, 66, of Pleasant Hill Church Road, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997. He was a son of the late William Alfred and Mammie Inez Pannoll Burnette. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the New Pentecost United Methodist Church, Winder, with the Revs. Mike McLemore and Rusty Newman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Betty H. Burnette; a son, Brian Burnette, Nashville, Ga.; two daughters, Marsha Kilpatrick and Victoria Price, both of Winder; two sisters, Elizabeth Harwell and Carolyn Cronic, both of Winder; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Pentecost United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund. Brion Decker Athens Brion John Decker, 37, of 185 Horseshoe Circle, died Friday, Nov 21, 1997. A native of Storm Lake, Iowa, Mr. Decker was a son of Roger Decker of Atlanta and Donna Jean Hess Decker of Athens. He lived in the Athens area for the past 21 years, having moved from New Hampshire. He was a self-employed handyman. In addition to his parents, survivors include four brothers, Colin James Decker, Roswell, Steven Christopher Decker, Athens, and Roger Todd Decker and Bill Decker, both of Lilburn, and a maternal grandmother, Lois Hess, Athens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sundown Surgery Fund at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Georgia, Athens, Ga., 30602. Faye Johnson Dennis, 93, died Friday, Nov. 21, 1997. A native of Royston, she was a daughter of the late Amicus and Lovella Johnson, and the widow of the late Larry A. Dennis. She was a Member Emeritus of the Service League of Hickory, and a member of the Waverly Book Club. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Bass-Smith Funeral Home, with the Revs. Paul Starnes and Howard Fleming officiating. Burial will be in Catawba Memorial Park. Survivors include two brothers, Kenneth Johnson, Hickory, N.C., and Dan Johnson, Charlotte, N.C.; and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Bass-Smith Funeral Home from 2-3 p.m. today. J.R. 'Tag' Eidson Toccoa James Robert "Tag" Eidson, 81, of 206 Harris St., died Friday, Nov. 21, 1997. A native of Clarke County, he was a son of the late Deward and Ada Yarbrough Eidson. Mr. Eidson was associated with John's Roofing and Sheet Metal Company in Toccoa for 43 years. He worked with the U.S. Navy in Pearl Harbor during World War II. Mr. Eidson was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home, Toccoa, with the Rev. Jack Sosby officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Langford Eidson; three daughters, Janice Dukes and Betty Russell, both of Toccoa, and Connie Johnson, Asheboro, N.C.; two sisters, Sara Thompson, Athens, and Coty Lester, Monroe; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Steve Thomas Toccoa Steve Randall Thomas, 40, of Hwy. 17 South, died Friday, Nov. 21, 1997. A native of Stephens County, he was a son of Burrell Huey Thomas of Toccoa, and the late Lillie Mae Miller Thomas. He was employed by Gilbert and Bennett Company in Toccoa and attended Toccoa Congregational Holiness Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home, Toccoa, with the Revs. Ralph Smith and Robert Magness officiating. Burial will be in Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery. In addition to his father, survivors include his wife, Darlene Harmon Thomas; two sons, Keith Randall Thomas and Christopher Eric Thomas, both of the home; and three sisters, Sheila Jean Bentley, Sylvia Ann Pierson, and Teresa Gail Ayers, all of Toccoa. Jackson St., died Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997. A native of Walton County, Ga., he was a son of the late J. Claud and Lucile Jackson Thompson. He lived in Barrow County for 54 years, and drove a truck for Central and Southern Truck Lines for 30 years. Mr. Thompson was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wise-Connolly Funeral Home, Winder, with the Rev. Robbie Black officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Johnnie L. Thompson; two sons, J. Lamar Thompson, Clinton, Miss., and Randy M. Thompson, Winder; a daughter, Peggy J. Price, Americus; a brother, Harris R.
