Buesse Vienna Elise Thompson Buesse, 87, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1997. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Buesse was a daughter of the late William A. and Inez Powers Thompson and the widow of Cleo Buesse. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Meadow Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Lee Smith officiating. Survivors include two sisters, Margaret Huffman and Willie Lou Benton, both of Kannapolis, N.C.; a brother, Charlie Thompson, Kannapolis; and nieces and nephews. Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements. Mildred Clements Athens Mildred Clements, 75, of 491 Holman Ave. died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1997. A native of Clarke County, Ms. Clements was a daughter of the late Charlie C. and Viola James Clements. She was a retired secretary at Georgia Power and a member of Milledge Avenue Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Claude McBride officiating. Survivors include a sister, Gladys Fulcher, Athens. Roy Eidson Athens Roy Milton Eidson, 71, of 530 Talmadge Drive died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1997. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Eidson was a son of the late Arthur and Ada Sorrells Eidson. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Bruce Randolph Collins, a sister, Camilla Noell, and a brother, A.C. Eidson. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a lifelong resident of Athens, a retired service department supervisor at Georgia Natural Gas and a member and deacon of First Christian Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Christian Church with Dr. Dan Crawford and the Rev. Ray Austin officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Keener McKinnon Eidson; two daughters, Joy Eidson Ogletree, Danielsville, and Kathy Eidson Kurth, Snellville; a stepdaughter, Norma Dale Lyon, Ila; a stepdaughter-in-law, Shelia Collins, Neese community; a sister, Sara Bond, Athens; four grandchildren, Jennifer Ogletree and Chris Ogletree, both of Danielsville, and Katie Kurth and Kelsey Kurth, both of Snellville; and nieces and nephews. Julian Lyle Elberton Julian Nathaniel Lyle, 83, of 2515 Hudson Road died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 1997. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Lyle was a son of the late John Henry and Clara Slay Lyle. He was preceded in death by a son, Harry Lyle. He was owner and operator of a pulpwood processing company and attended Fortsonia Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Meeks officiating. Burial will be in Fortsonia Community Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Ann Jenson, Elberton; a sister, Edna Tate, Elberton; and two grandchildren. Roosevelt Robinson Athens Roosevelt Robinson of 330 Kings Road died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1997. A native of Petersburg, Va., Mr. Robinson was a son of the late James and Susie Jefferson Williams. He had lived in Athens the past five years. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Salem African Methodist Episcopal Church in Graceville, Fla. Burial will be in Gainer Cemetery in Browntown community, Fla. A native of Franklin County, Christopher was a son of Stewart and Genie Chappelear of Hartwell, Sandy Dobson and Joel Saxon. He was a student at Hart County Middle School. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Norman Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. A native of Greene County, Mrs. Silvey was a daughter of the late Ada Hazlett and Archelus Wilson and the widow of Noel Silvey. She was a looper at Chipman Union, graded eggs at Nichols egg terminal and was a member of Penfield Presbyterian Church. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Penfield Cemetery with the Rev. Reggie Haslett officiating. Survivors include two sisters, Blanch Gentry and Effie Wilson, both of Union Point; and nieces and nephews.
