A native of Anderson, S.C., Miss Ankerich was a daughter of Sherry Wilson Goddard and Michael Ankerich, both of Hartwell. She was a junior at Hart County High School, a member of Hot Shots and employed part-time at Lavonia Foods. Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Baptist Church with Richard Hix and the Revs. Joe Black and Ted Kelley officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her stepfather, Jeff Goddard, Hartwell; a sister, Brittany Goddard, of the home; her maternal grandmother, Joyce Wilson, Hartwell; her paternal grandparents, Billy and Hilda Ankerich, Hartwell; her stepgrandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joel Goddard, Hartwell; and her stepgreat-grandmother, Elvie Partain, Hartwell. "Blacky" Blackmon Jr., 72, died Thursday, July 24, 1997. A native of Phenix City, Ala., Mr. Blackmon was a son of the late James C. and Exa Mae H. Blackmon. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a master electrician for Blackmon & Son Electrical Co. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, with the Revs. Ronnie Healan and Owen Loggins officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Hilda Davis Toccoa Hilda Meyer Davis, 84, of Falls Road died Friday, July 25, 1997. A native of Dresden, Germany, Mrs. Davis was a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Meyer and the widow of James Cecil Davis. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Masonic Cemetery, Irwinton, with the Rev. Charles M. Davis Jr. officiating. Survivors include a son, the Rev. Charles M. Askew Reynolds and the widow of James B. Durham. She was a retired nurses aide at St. Mary's Hospital and private duty nurse and was a member of East Athens Baptist Church. She was a member of First Alliance Church, where she was a deaconess, a member of the mission committee, a primary Sunday school teacher and president of Alliance Women.
