A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Christian was a daughter of the late Albert and Annie Lou Allen Lunsford and the widow of Charles W. Christian. She was a homemaker and attended Faith Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pruitte Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. Dennis Coley officiating. Clark, 94, of 9153 Dicks Hill Parkway, Ayersville community, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1997. A native of Habersham County, Mr. Clark was a son of the late Jesse T. and Nizer Jones Clark and the widower of Marie Edmonds Clark. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Clark Yearwood. He was retired after 25 years at Singer Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Glade Creek Baptist Church, which he helped build. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Revs. Paul Collins and Ronnie Thurmond officiating. Burial will be in Glade Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Powers, 75, formerly of Habersham County, died Monday, Aug. 25, 1997. A native of Habersham County, Mr. Powers was a son of the late Fred J. and Emma Herrin Powers. He was a retired Air Force master sergeant and was a veteran of World War II and the Vietnam War. He also was a retired civil service worker at Perrin Air Force Base. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and AMVETS, and was of the Baptist faith. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. A native of Clayton, Mr. Smith was a son of the late Judge Will Smith and Connie Lovell Smith. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a prisoner of war in the German camp Stalag IX-B from December 1944 until liberation in April 1945. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Rabun County and was a member of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Masonic Lodge 265 and F&AM of Clayton. He was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. James E. Turpen and Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery. Fred Wymbs Athens Fred "Scope" Wymbs, 70, of 150 Kennedy Circle died Saturday, Aug. 23, 1997. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Wymbs was a son of the late Johnny and Annie Sue Henson Wymbs. A native of Candler County, Mr. Smith was a son of Robert H. and Diana Wilson Smith of Metter. He was valedictorian of the 1991 graduating class of Metter High School and attended Georgia Southern University. He received a bachelor's and a doctorate degree from the School of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia, where he received the McMillan Professionalism Award. He was a member of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity and the Heritage Club at UGA. He was a pharmacist at City Drug Store in Vidalia, a member of Vidalia Kiwanis Club and attended Pine Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Home, Hooks Chapel, with the Rev. James Bland officiating. Burial will be in Lake Cemetery.
