A native of Greenville, S.C., Mrs. Bennett was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John O. Freeman and the widow of A. B. Collier and Dr. O. E. Bennett. She owned and operated the Albermarle Hotel and Collier's Tea Room in Toccoa for a number of years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Toccoa, and a charter member of the Toccoa Pilot Club. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Toccoa Cemetery with Dr. Henry Fields and the Rev. Byron Kennerly officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Jane Collier Richardson, Toccoa; two grandchildren, Rick Richardson, Jacksonville, Fla., and Judy Connolly, Palm Coast, Fla.; and two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the organ fund of the First Baptist Church of Toccoa. The family is at the residence of Jane Collier Richardson, 407 N. Pond St., Toccoa, and will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at Acree-Davis Funeral Home, Toccoa. Geneva Browner Jefferson Geneva Browner, of 146 Pine St., died Friday, Oct. 24, 1997. She was a daughter of Lucy Jane Johnson of Jefferson and the late George Wilson. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul First Baptist Church with the Rev. Marvin Simmons officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Banks and Dorothy M. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and attended Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Charles Mincey Elberton Charles Edward Mincey, 60, of 1572 Hartwell Highway, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 1997. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Mincey was a son of the late Paul Herbert and Ruth Martin Mincey. Mr. Mincey was employed with Elbert County Construction Company. He was a member of Philomathea Masonic Lodge #25, a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a member of the Yaarrab Shrine Temple, the American Legion, and the V.F.W. He had served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Berry Funeral Home, Elberton, with the Rev. Donald Mulkey officiating. Burial will be in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Sidwell was formerly employed by the Greene County Road Department and served in the United States Army. He was a member of Apalachee Methodist Church.
