Mr. Boleman was born in Hart County on Aug. 27, 1919. A son of the late Claude Boleman and the late Julia Land Boleman, he was a retired game warden for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, a former Hartwell city councilman for many years and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Reed Creek Baptist Church and Nancy Hart Masonic Lodge No. 690, Hartwell. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Reed Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Kelly officiating. Entombment will be in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Martha Phillips Boleman; a son and daughter-in-law, Ray J. and Jan Ankerich Boleman Jr., Goldsboro, N.C.; two granddaughters, Cynthia Jan O'Conney, New Bern, N.C., and Jennifer Renee Boleman, Goldsboro, N.C.; and a great-grandson, Taylor Land O'Conney, New Bern, N.C. A native of Franklin County, he was a son of the late George Lee and Florida Cordelia "Daisy" Wasson Dove. Mr. Dove was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired chief warrant officer in the Georgia Army National Guard. He was a member of Elberton First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Berry Funeral Home with Dr. Wallace E. Wheeles officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery, Elberton. A native of Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Clyde Elder. She was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. A native of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jones Carithers and the widow of Judson Boyd Kimsey. She was a homemaker and a member of Moon's Grove Baptist Church, the Senior Citizen's Club, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Colbert-Hull Homemakers Club. A native of Union County, Mrs. Meadows was a daughter of the late Henry and Eliza Hill Rogers and the widow of the Rev. Henry Meadows. She was a licensed missionary and an honorary and founding member of Welcome Avenue Congregational Holiness Church, Crawford. She was also a member of East Point Congregational Holiness Church, East Point. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Welcome Avenue Congregational Holiness Church with the Revs. Cullen Hicks and Mark Northcutt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. James Vandeford Royston Mr. James C. "Jimmy" Vandeford, 82, died Friday, Sept. 26, 1997, at Cobb Memorial Hospital, Royston. Mr. Vandeford was born in Gwinnett County on March 10, 1915. He was a son of the late Cicero Augustus Vandeford and the late Elzora Edwards Vandeford. He was preceded in death by a son, Arnold Vandeford, and a daughter, Clara Mae Edge. He was retired from the General Motors Assembly Plant in Athens, was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Vandiver was a son of the late Carey and Ida Ward Vandiver and widower of Clara Whitehead Vandiver. He was a retired truck driver for Commerce Manufacturing Co. and a member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev.
