A native of Pickens county, Mrs. Conn was the widow of Thomas F. Conn and the daughter of Rachel Speer Eaton and Wesley Eaton. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at the First United Methodist Church of Commerce with the Rev. Hoyt Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Jackson Memorial Gardens. She is survived by one daughter, Judy Easley of Greensboro; and two grandchildren, Jason Easley and Kelly Easley, both of Greensboro. Little-Ward Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Jervaes "Jerry" Harris Crescent City, Fla. Jervaes B. "Jerry" Harris, 77, Crescent City, Fla., formerly of Danielsville, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 1997. A native of Green Cove Springs, Fla., Mr. Harris was the son of Lillian Rountree and the late James B. Harris. He was an electrician. No service is planned. A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Long was the daughter of the late John Walton and Adell Elizabeth Whitehead Norris and was the widow of Dean O. Long. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Bernstein Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. She is survived by a brother, Roy Norris, Bogart; five grandchildren, Tracy M. Bertie Lou McElroy Winder Bertie Lou McElroy, 89, of 263 E. May St., died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1997. A native of Barrow County, Mrs. McElroy was the daughter of the late John T. and Effie Mobley Everett and the widow of Bryant McElroy Sr. She was a member of Hebron Christian Church. Pleasant James Roberts Jr. Jefferson Pleasant James "PJ" Roberts Jr., 88, of PJ Roberts Road, died Monday, Dec. 29, 1997. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Roberts was the son of the late Pleasant James Roberts Sr. and Valerie Herrin Roberts and widower of Melrose Davis Roberts. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Jayne Roberts. He was a dairy farmer, a past member of the Jefferson Rotary Club and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Jefferson. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today at the First United Methodist Church, Jefferson, with the Revs. Scott Hearn and Bob Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Gardens. He is survived by two sons, Donald L. Roberts, Gainesville, and Davis Roberts, Jefferson; five grandchildren, Jimmy Roberts and Kathi Bray, both of Jefferson, Clay Roberts, San Antonio, Texas, Sam Roberts, North Augusta, S.C., and Pamela McCarter, Madison, Ala.; and nine great-grandchildren. He was a carpenter and a member of Nails Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Nails Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Frank Sailors and Swayne Carlan officiating. The body will be in the church at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A native of Elbert county, Mr. Wilhite was the son of Jane Adams Wilhite and the late James Thomas Wilhite Sr. He was preceded in death by a son, Kyle Wilhite. He was vice-president of Good News Travel, owner of Elberton Travel Services and owner of the Myrtle Beach Receptive Service. He was a graduate of West Georgia College and a member of Kappa Sigma. He was also a member of the Elberton Rotary Club and interim music director for the First United Methodist Church of Elberton. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Elberton First Baptist Church with Drs. C.E. Jackson III, Albert Meredith and Wallace Wheeles officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Elberton.
