A native of Clarke County, Mr. Barnett was a son of Jessie Barnett of Athens and the late John T. Barnett. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in East Lawn Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Joseph T. Chaloux officiating. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Emma Barnett; a daughter, Marie Washington Easley, Athens; four sons, George S. Barnett, Athens, Jeffrey Barnett, Norfolk, Va., John T. Barnett III, Elberton, and James A. Barnett, Chattanooga, Tenn.; four sisters, Jennifer Ade', Barbara Barnett and Elaine Barnett, all of Athens, and Anne Ramos, New York; four brothers, William Barnett, Freddie Barnett and Billy Barnett, all of Athens, and James Barnett, Charlotte, N.C.; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. today at Hurley Funeral Home, Bogart. Bobby Brown Carnesville Bobby Glenn Brown, 64, of 5395 Harrison Bridge Road died Tuesday, April 28, 1998. A native of Stephens County, Mr. Brown was a son of the late Ace B. and Martha Ann Taylor Brown. He was an Army veteran and a member of Hunter's Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ginn Funeral Home with the Revs. Craig Brown and Truitt Brawner officiating. Burial will be in Hunter's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include a sister, Ellie Sue Lanford, Forest Park; three nieces, four great-nieces and two great-nephews. Carrie Burton Athens Carrie Burton, 86, of 840 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway died Monday, April 27, 1998. A native of Wilkes County, Mrs. Burton was a daughter of the late Jim and Susie Norman. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Winfred M. Hope officiating. Burial will be in Lyonsville Baptist Church Cemetery, Rayle. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Survivors include two daughters, Lucile Binion and Sarah F. Johnson; a son, James H. Callaway Lexington Sara Ellen Blanchard Callaway, 72, of 118 Church St., died Thursday, April 30, 1998. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. Callaway was a daughter of the late Mell and Annie Farrar Blanchard and was the widow of Hugh T. Callaway Jr. She was retired from the University of Georgia and an active member of Crawford Woman's Club and Crawford Senior Citizens Group. She was a member of Lexington Baptist Church, where she was a member of Mrs. Woods' Sunday school class. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Clark Cemetery with the Revs. Harry Warren, George Hall and Jimmy Baldwin officiating. Survivors include a son, Thomas Callaway, Lexington; two sisters, Marion B. Roberts, Snellville, and Elizabeth B. Blackshear, Decatur; two grandsons, two stepgrandchildren and nieces and nephews. A native of Banks County, Mrs. Dalton was a daughter of the late Marion and Anna Nunnally Duckett and was the widow of Buford E. Dalton. She was a homemaker, a member of Harmony Baptist Church and had taught Sunday school for a number of years. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Whitfield Funeral Home, Baldwin, with the Rev. Lanny Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Charlie Gary Commerce Charlie Willie Gary, 79, of 44 Piedmont St., died Tuesday, April 26, 1998. A native of Eatonton, Mrs. Gary was a daughter of the late John and Loette Eubanks Gunter. She was a textile worker at Harmony Grove Mills. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Ivie Funeral Home with the Revs. David Carithers, Vaughn Howington and Terry Chambers officiating. A native of Walton County, Mrs. McGregor was a daughter of the late Notice Little and Ida Allen Riley and was the widow of Freeman McGregor. She was a retired librarian at the University of Georgia and a member of Athens Area Retired Teachers Association, Georgia Retired Teachers Association and Walnut Grove United Methodist Church.
