A native of Greene County, Mr. Brown was a son of Marie Howell Brown and the late Grady Brown. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jehovah Kingdom Hall, Union Point, with Brother J.D. Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Reid family cemetery plot. A native of Danielsville, Mr. Bruce was a son of the late Henry and Trillia Ginn Bruce. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Donna Lynn Aldrich. He was an Army native of World War II and a member of the 425th Field Artillery Group. He was a retired paint technician at Snyder Brothers and a member of Middle River Baptist Church. He was self-employed as a carpenter and was a member of Commerce Church of God. A native of Wilkes County, Mrs. Ferrell was a daughter of the late Marshall and Dora Willis. She was a homemaker and a member of Pauline Holiness Church. Noah Fred Fowler Athens Noah Fred Fowler, 89, of 235 Johnson Drive died Friday, May 1, 1998. A native of Murphy, N.C., Mr. Fowler was a son of the late Sanford and Ida Matthews Fowler. He was a loving father and grandfather and was married for 58 years to the late Katie Drake Fowler. He lived in Athens for 71 years and was a retired plant operations superintendent at the University of Georgia for 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of Mount Vernon Lodge 22 F&AM and The Godfrey De Bouillon Commandery 14. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Fowler. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Tuckston United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. James Ashe officiating. Survivors include two daughters, Kay Fowler Ransom, Good Hope, and Maxine Fowler LaPierre, Athens; a son, Charles I. Goodrich, 94, died Sunday, April 12, 1998. A native of Montgomery, Ala., Mrs. Goodrich was the widow of Dr. Laurence B. Goodrich. She was a teacher, social worker and homemaker and lived in Winterville and Athens from 1969 to 1991. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery, St. Paul, Minn. Survivors include two daughters, Mary G. Leggitt, New Haven, Ind., and Vivian G. Schmidt, St. Louis, Mo.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity. She was a retired accountant for John Deere Equipment Co. and a member of Hartwell Missionary Christian Alliance Church.
