Mr. Evans was a native of Clarke County. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Abraham Mosley officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Carol Ann Evans; seven children, Ella-Ree Evans, Gloria Gatewood, Egarnois C. Evans, Lu Sheila Evans, Damon D. Evans, Martina Evans and Emma-Jean Evans; three step-children, LaTosha Haynes, LaShawnita Deans and LaSherri Deans; a sister, Ida Brown; and a brother. Deacon Mason Foote Colbert Deacon Mason Foote, 80, of 3741 Waggoner Grove Baptist Church Road died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1998. A native of Madison County and a longtime resident of Colbert, Deacon Foote was a son of the late George and Sarah Dudley Foote. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucille Foote Gaines (Sis). He was retired from Dorsey Heating & Air Conditioning and a member of Waggoner Grove Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 1998, at Waggoner Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy L. Thomas, pastor of Waggoner Grove Baptist Church, officiating, assisted by Evangelist Otelia Smith and the Rev. William Jennings. The remains will lie in repose 1-2 p.m. Burial will be in Hitchcock Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Fannie Sue Foote; four daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Warren (Rebecca) Rouse, Atlanta, Bernice Barnes, Athens, Inez F. Hitchcock, Colbert, and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie (Hazel) Wimbush, East Point; two sons, Lonnie P. Foote, Reading, Pa., and Hiram Foote, East Point; a sister, Weida Brown, Atlanta; two brothers, Deacon Troy Foote, Danielsville, and Brother G.B. Foote, Chicago, Ill.; 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends. Zadie Freeman Mount Airy Zadie Burgess Freeman, 88, of Doc Keller Drive died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1998. A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Freeman was a daughter of the late Walt and Mary Miller Burgess and was the widow of Howard James Freeman. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Ballew, and a son, Jimmy Freeman. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McGahee-Griffin Funeral Home, Cornelia. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery, Mount Airy. Survivors include two daughters, Essie Loudermilk, Cornelia, and Jean Frady, Toccoa; a son, Clyde Freeman, Toccoa; a sister, Fannie Mae Tullis, Mount Airy; a brother, Ernest Burgess, Alto; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family is at the home of Jean Frady. John Kleinke Athens John Byron "Jack" Kleinke, 50, of 124 Holly Hills Court died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 1998. A native of Chicago, Mr. Kleinke was a son of Gloria Walters Kleinke, Western Springs, Ill., and the late Robert Loomis Kleinke. He was a computer equipment salesman and of the Catholic faith. Services will be later in Country Side, Ill. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Jill Churchill Kleinke; a daughter, Christine Kleinke, Athens; a son, Scott Kleinke, Athens; a sister, Bobette Pulliam, Indian Head Park, Ill.; a brother, Kenneth Kleinke, Detroit; and nieces and nephews. Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Gary S. 'Frog' Logan Athens Gary Samuel "Frog" Logan, 41, of 83 Ryan Road died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1998. A native of Clarke County, he was the son of Hubert and Iree Logan of Athens, and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and had recently attended Prince Avenue Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of Logan's Wrecker Service. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, West, Bogart, with the Rev. Cecil Holcombe officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Terri Logan of Athens; daughters, Keri and Mary Morgan Logan, both of Athens; sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Ricky Wills of Athens; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dale and Vicki Spray of Crawford; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Don and Martha Carnes of Athens; and two nephews. Shivar, 62, of 1090 Hardigree Bell road died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 1998. A native of Greene County, Mrs. Shivar was a daughter of Hellen Williams, Greensboro, and the late Clyde Williams. She was retired from AT&T, where she was recently appointed to the Northeast Georgia Community Service Board. She was active in the community with volunteer work and other services. A native of Oconee County, Mr. Thrasher was retired after more than 30 years from the University of Georgia. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Hill Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Gregory Coleman officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Cemetery. A native of Wessington Springs, S.D., Mrs. Voelker was a daughter of the late Milton Marion and Mollie Bond Cook. She was retired from General Motors and also worked a number of years as a drafting teacher at Toccoa Falls Academy. She was a member of Toccoa Falls College Campus Community Church. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Ferrell Towns officiating. Burial will be in Toccoa City Cemetery. Survivors include nephews.
