A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Butts was a son of the late Clarence and Lucille Carithers Butts. He was a veteran of the National Guard and retired from New Way Dry Cleaners. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include two daughters, Marty Andrews, Flowery Branch, and Chris Bauman, Atlanta; a sister, Betty Jane Brake, Marietta; two grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Alijah Fleeman Royston Alijah Sabel Fleeman, 16-month-old son of James W. and Teresa Dowell Fleeman of 658 Joe Finley Road, Royston, died Monday, Aug. 31, 1998. Alijah was born in Franklin County. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Strickland Funeral Home with the Revs. Jack Finley and Ray Black officiating. Burial will be in Milltown Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include three brothers, Aubrey Fleeman, Austin Fleeman and Michael Fleeman, all of Royston; five grandparents, Billy and Brenda Dowell, Hartwell, and Betty Stone and J.W. and Christy Fleeman, all of Royston; and five great-grandparents, Lee Ervin and Juanita Dowell, Lavonia, and Joe and Arnist Finley and Mae Fleeman, all of Royston. The family is at the home and will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mary Mabry Canon Mary Hill Mabry, 75, of 310 Church St. died Monday, Aug. 31, 1998. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Mabry was a daughter of the late William Matthew and Lucy Pearl Turman Hill and was the widow of Paul "Sad" Cohen Mabry. She was a beautician and a member of Canon United Methodist Church. She was the pianist for Old Canon Baptist Church and Canon UMC for many years. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Pruitte Funeral Home with the Revs. Merritt Waters, J.J. Chatham and Dennis Kesler officiating. Burial will be in Oakview Cemetery. A native of Wilkes County, Mrs. Rhinehart was a daughter of the late Floyd and Sarah Gill Blackmon. She was a homemaker and preferred the Church of God faith.
