Mrs. Bryan attended the Lucy Cobb Institute in Athens, Washington Seminary and Sweet Briar College. She was the widow of William Wright Bryan, the editor of the Atlanta Journal and the Cleveland Plain Dealer and later vice president of Clemson University. Mrs. Bryan was active for more than 60 years in the Girl Scouts - she was commissioner of Atlanta Girl Scouts in the 1930s, elected to the National Board of Directors for many years and the first board member emeritus elected to the Northwest Georgia Girl Scout Council, which recently named a lake in her honor. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with the Revs. Frank M. McClain, Martha Mercure and George Alexander officiating. Burial will be in historic Oakland Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Newell Bryan Tozzer, Atlanta, and Marylane Sullivan, Cleveland, Ohio; a son, William Wright Bryan Jr., Atlanta; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Patterson & Son Spring Hill Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Jack Culpepper Athens Jack Culpepper, 67, died at home with his family present June 2, 1998. Mr. Culpepper, a native of Chattahoochee County, was a son of the late James Grover and Ester Morgan Culpepper. He resided in Butler, Georgia, for a number of years having moved to Athens to live with his family for the past 2 years. Mr. Culpepper was a retired superintendent of Georgia's DOT 3rd District Bridge Maintenance and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. Mr. Culpepper was a member of Campus View Church of Christ. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 1998, at Campus View Church of Christ. The Rev. Steve Watson will officiate. Survivors include four children, Jolyn Culpepper of Danielsville, Patricia S. Culpepper of Atlanta, Jack D. Culpepper of Athens, and Myra C. and Philip Morris Jr. of Athens. He is also survived by two much loved grandchildren, Abbie Morris and Joseph Morris; sister, Frances Austin; a brother, Jimmy Culpepper of Buena Vista and several nieces and nephews. A native of Homer, Mrs. Echols was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Claudia Mintz Shubert and was the widow of Andrew Echols. She was a housewife. Lillian Fultz Cornelia Lillian Smith Fultz, 53, of Pea Ridge Road died Monday, June 1, 1998. A native of Clay County, Ky., Mrs. Fultz was a daughter of the late Hobert and Bertha Barnett Smith. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Malrie Webb, and a son, Michael Fultz. She was a homemaker and a member of Bible Landmark Holiness Church. Funeral services will be at 4:30 p.m. today at Bible Landmark Holiness Church with the Rev. Curtis Woods officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 4 p.m. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Goose Rock Cemetery, Manchester, Ky. Wade Knight Athens Robert Wade Knight, 57, of 235 Plantation Drive died Monday, June 1, 1998. A native of Brooks County, Mr. Knight was a son of the late Douglas W. and Tennys Ingram Knight. He was a graduate of Emory University and a retired chemist with the Environmental Protection Agency. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East. Survivors include his wife, Jane Knight; two sons, Michael Knight, Watkinsville, and Charles Knight, Atlanta; two sisters, Charlotte Collins, Quitman, and June Renfroe, Fitzgerald; a brother, Zack Knight, Killeen, Texas; and three grandchildren. Sara Matthews Tignall Sara Rhodes Harper Matthews, 91, of 3298 Delhi Road died Monday, June 1, 1998. A native of Wilkes County, Mrs. Matthews was a daughter of the late John and Lois Wright Rhodes and was the widow of John Will Harper and J.W. Matthews. A lifetime resident of Delhi community, she was a homemaker and a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Hopkins Funeral Home, Washington, is in charge of arrangements. Clyde Mealor Danielsville Clyde Anthony Burroughs Mealor, 98, of Route 1, Box 1049, died Monday, June 1, 1998. Mrs. Mealor, a native of Madison County, was a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Ida Leola McGarity Anthony. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Ellis Burroughs and Elmer Roy Mealor, and two sons, Staff Sgt. Anthony Burroughs, killed in action in Germany in 1944, and William Franklin Burroughs, M.D., 1954. Mrs. Mealor graduated from Georgia College in Milledgeville in 1918 and enjoyed a long career as a teacher with the Madison County Board of Education, retaining a vital interest in all of her former students. She was a member of the Danielsville United Methodist Church, an honorary lifetime member of the United Methodist Women, and remained faithful and devoted to her church and community throughout her life. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today, June 3, 1998, at Danielsville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Cheryl Maxfield officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilma Moore Toccoa Wilma Lucille Keller Moore, 66, of 106 Lewis St. died Monday, June 1, 1998. A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Moore was a daughter of the late Robert Davis and Annie Mae Kellar Keller. She was a retired teacher, having taught for 26 years in the Stephens County school system, and was a member of Collins Road Baptist Church and the A.A.R.P. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Whitlock Mortuary with the Revs. Lester Burgess, Paul Collins and Roy Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Roselane Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Richard D. Irene Tulk Elberton Irene Elizabeth Thaut Tulk, 80, died Monday, June 1, 1998. A native of Augres, Mich., Mrs. Tulk was a daughter of the late Alex Thaut and Mary Kanzear Thaut.
