"Dink" Booth, 72, of 2032 Beaverdam Road died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Booth was a son of the late Walker and Bessie Lou Tate Booth. He was retired from Reliance Electric. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home East, Athens, with the Rev. Buford Lockman officiating. Burial will be in Arnoldsville Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mary Booth; a daughter, Cathy Goss, Madison; three sons, Ronald Booth, Eatonton, and Donald Booth and David Ray Booth, both of Winterville; four sisters, Amy Coile, Arcade, Francis Booth, Whitehall, Lucille Smith, McDonough, and Mary Sue Powell, Athens; a brother, Bobby Booth, Harlem; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Ellie Lou Booth Hull Ellie Lou Whitehead Booth, 70, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998. Mrs. Booth was a daughter of the late Earlie and Libbie Vaughn Whitehead and was the widow of Wayman Booth. She was a member of Edwards Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Rev. Dennis Kesler officiating. Burial will be Hull Cemetery. Survivors include a sister, Essie Cowart, Hull; a brother, Elmer Whitehead, Hull; three nieces, a nephew and great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-nieces and -nephews. Roscoe Colbert Athens Roscoe Colbert, 76, of 154 Fernbanks Court died Friday, Oct. 30, 1998. A native of Madison County, Mr. Colbert was a son of the late Hattie Colbert. He was an active parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Colbert Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Colbert. Survivors include his wife, Marie D. Colbert; a daughter, Andrea Lys, Orlando, Fla.; a son, Anthony Colbert, Atlanta; two grandsons, Chris Lys and Joey Lys, both of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters-in-law, a mother-in-law and nieces and nephews. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Crawford was a daughter of the late Luke and Millberry Phillips. She was employed at McLane Southeast for 25 years and worked part-time at Chandler BBQ for 42 years. She was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1998, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville. The Rev. Lee Hunter will officiate. Mildred Furcron Elberton Mildred Catherine Tate Furcron, 81, of McKinley Street died Friday, Oct. 30, 1998. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Furcron was a daughter of the late Henry and Mattie B. Harper Tate and was the widow of Robert Furcron. She was an educator in Oglethorpe and Elbert counties for many years and a member of St. Mary's Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, where she served in many capacities. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's CME Church with the Revs. Carlton K. Taylor and Joseph Earls officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include three grandchildren raised in the home, Felecia Downer, Samuel Jennings and Michael Jennings; three brothers, Dr. Horace E. Tate, Atlanta, Marvin Tate, Philadelphia, and Herman Tate, New York City; and eight grandchildren. The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Downer, 1451 Lena Drive. A native of Madison County, Mr. Ginn was a son of the late Tinsley Seaborn and Mollie Elizabeth Ray Ginn. He was preceded in death by a son, Tinsley Heyward Ginn Jr. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired welder from Monroe Auto Equipment Co. and of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pruitte Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. Merritt Waters officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Covington, Mr. Lee was a son of the late Lester Lee Sr. and Mary Carithers Lee. An Air Force pilot during World War II, he attended the University of Arkansas and the University of Georgia. He was the retired owner and salesman of Lee Brothers Wholesale Grocery Co., was a charter member of Elberton Country Club, a former member of Elberton Elk's Lodge and a member of Elberton First United Methodist Church. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Elmhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Wallace Wheeles officiating. Survivors include his wife, Sue Fender Lee; a son, Jim Lee, Alpharetta; a brother, E.O. Mr. Meeks was a son of Annie Mae McManus and the late Armistice Matthew Meeks. He was a Vietnam War veteran and employed for 17 years at John Manville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Moore officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. Michael Meyers Machesney Park, Ill. Michael Lee Meyers, 41, of 7602 Borodell St. died Friday, Oct. 30, 1998. A native of South Charleston, W. Va., Mr. Meyers was a son of Frances Brannon Meyers Baltzegar, Greenwood, S.C., and the late David N. Meyers. He was a graduate of Piedmont Technical College, Greenwood, and attended the University of Tennessee and Western Illinois University. He currently enrolled as a business communications major at Concordia University, Beloit, Wis., and employed as a manufacturing engineer with Unison Industries, Rockford, Ill. He performed with a local blues and classic rock band as a bassist and lead vocalist, and appeared in leading roles in various musical and dramatic productions. He was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church, Chattanooga, Tenn., and attended South Main Street Baptist Church, Greenwood. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at South Main Street Baptist Church, Greenwood, with the Rev. Ryan Eklund officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Ruth Adams Meyers; a stepfather, Clifton L. A native of Thomas County, Mrs. Williams was a daughter of the late Arthur Jackson and Emma Magbee Barton. She was twice married, first to the late Milton Hammond and second to the late Clyde Williams. She was a retired insurance clerk and a member of Elberton First Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. Services will be at 1 p.m. today in Elmhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. C.E. Jackson officiating. Survivors include two sisters, Jewell Eberhardt, Elberton, and Lilla Brown, North Augusta, S.C.; three brothers, Roscoe Barton, Elberton, Floyd Barton, Greenville, S.C., and Boyd Barton, Hartwell; and nieces and nephews.
