A native of Atlanta, Mr. Ayers was the son of of Dorothy Manning of St. Petersburg, Fla., and the late Albert Cook Ayers. He was a retired air traffic controller with the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service and a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Albany. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Marseilles Cemetery, West Point, with the Rev. Jeffrey Connell officiating. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Nancy Lahti Ayers; a daughter, Kimberly Doreen Connell, Eastanollee; a son Kenneth Ronald Ayers, Lake Park; two grandchildren, two half-sisters and five step-brothers. McCarthy Funeral Home, West Point, is in charge of arrangements. Clara Belle Fincher Winder Clara Belle Fincher, 88, of Boling Green Nursing Center, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998. Mrs. Fincher was daughter of the late Dave and Mary Elizabeth E. Dial and the widow of William F. Fincher. She was retired from Carwood Manufacturing Co. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. today at Smith Memory Chapel, Winder, with the Revs. James D. Owens and Hal Tapp officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Survivors include her son, William "Billy" Fincher, Macon; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Hallie Burger Loyd Athens Hallie Burger Loyd, 86, of 1000 Macon Road died Friday, Oct. 2, 1998. Mrs. Loyd was the daughter of the late Ed and Ludie Landrum Burger and was the widow of Felix M. Loyd. She was a retired sales associate and a member of Princeton United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be private. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at Princeton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Peggy Lowe officiating. Survivors include her two daughters and son-in-laws, Rita and Donald Parr and Shirley and John Upchurch; four grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Evelyn Diane Daniel Athens Evelyn Diane Daniel, 43, of 179 Mission Drive died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1998. Ms. Daniel was a daughter of Foster Daniel Jr. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Grove Baptist Church, Athens, with the Rev. James Washington Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 9:30 a.m. Survivors, in addition to her father, include a sister, Florence D. Ella Mae Garnett Washington Ella Mae Garnett, 66, of 122 A Harper St. died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1998. A native of Lincoln County, Ms. Garnett was the daughter of the late Nathan and Sallie Garnett. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Moon was a son of the late George Henry and Mattie Lou Yeargin Moon. He was a retired shipping clerk for LifeSprings, a member of Franklin Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Georgia Conference of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Franklin Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church with Dr. A.D. Beacham Jr. and the Rev. Durant Driggers officiating. Willie Brady Jr. Toccoa Willie Pratt Brady Jr., 59, of 7374 Pinetree Road died Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998. A native of Fairplay, S.C., Mr. Brady lived most of his life in Stephens County where he was employed with Hall's Trailer Park in maintenance. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Ivester officiating. Interment will be in Toccoa City Cemetery. A native of Banks County, Mr. Martin was a son of the late Birdie and Fletcher Martin and was the youngest of 13 children. He was an employee of Fieldale Corp. and the Gainesville City School System as a bus driver for 19 years. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul First Baptist Church, Jefferson, with the Revs. Marvin Simmons and R.E. Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn Delores; three sisters, Lucy B. Hughey and Lula M. Morehead, both of Jefferson, and Nancy Casey, Hartwell; two brothers, Thomas Martin, Jefferson, and L.C.
