A native of Habersham County, Mrs. Clark was a daughter of the late Henry Tatum and Lou Ethel Landers York. She was retired after 35 years at Coats & Clark and was a member and former Sunday school teacher of Zebulon Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Whitlock Mortuary with the Revs. Ty Childers and Wade Lord officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Roy Bainey officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Gail Campbell, Toccoa; a son, Gary T. Clark, Gainesville; three sisters, Bessie Mize and Ruth Shedd, both of Cornelia, and Jimmie Colbert, Alto; a brother, Ralph York, Mount Airy; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. The family is at the residence and will receive friends 10 a.m.-noon today at the mortuary. Verlin Deaton Madison Verlin Claude Deaton, 75, of 1173 Prospect Road died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998. A native of Gwinnett County, he was a son of the late Samuel Deaton and Vassie Cheek. He was a foreman at Wellington Mills. Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Monday at Faith Baptist Church with the Revs. Tommy Ghann, Mike Pritchett and Willie Williams officiating. Burial was in Corinth Christian Church Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann McCannon Deaton; two daughters, Mildred Taylor and Kathy Bowers, both of Madison; a son, Turner Deaton, Macon; a sister, Mary Hubbard, Stockbridge; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Simmons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Ursula Dobbs Bostwick Ursula Dobbs, 66, of 5401 Highway 83 died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998. A native of Berlin, Germany, Mrs. Dobbs was a daughter of the late Stanley Stachowski. She was a housewife. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Pullium officiating. Burial will be in Bostwick City Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Survivors include her husband, Roy Lee Dobbs. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at Simmons Funeral Home, Madison. Linda Hall Abbeville, S.C. Linda Diane Matthews Hall, 50, of 553 Turner Road died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. Hall was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Matthews. She was a homemaker and a member of Midway Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery, Nation Community, with the Rev. Marion T. Greer officiating. Survivors include her husband, Donald N. Hall; a daughter, Elizabeth Hall, Virginia; two brothers, Maurice Matthews and Jack Matthews, both of Lexington; and three grandchildren. Whitehall Road died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Patrick was a son of the late Robert and Mary Evans Patrick. He was a retired textile manufacturing worker and of the Baptist faith. Private memorial services will be at a later date. Survivors include a nephew, Lewis Patrick. Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Allen O. Seagraves Athens Allen O. "Red" Seagraves, 75, of 119 Old Church Road died Feb. 3, 1998. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Seagraves was a son of the late Lonny and Vola Allen Seagraves. He was retired from Overhead Door Corporation, Georgia Division, and an Army veteran. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Rev. Wendell Hanley officiating. Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Seagraves; three stepdaughters, Susie Bell, Shasta Lake, Calif., and Charlene Simmons and Penny Monk, both of Hull; three stepsons, Walter Monk, Corning, Calif., Kenneth Monk, Shasta Lake, Calif, and Timothy Monk, Athens; two sisters, Frances Fitzpatrick, Commerce, and Mary Helen Bumgardner, Kannapolis, N.C.; a brother, Donald Seagraves, Failsbury, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. "Red" Seagraves Memorial Cancer Fund, 220 Hawthorne Park, Athens, Ga. 30606. Ruth Weston Talbotton Ruth McNeal Weston, 85, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 998. Mrs. Weston, born and raised in Ellaville, was the daughter of the late Charles C. McNeal and Mamie Robinson McNeal and was the widow of Hamilton P. Weston Jr. of Talbotton. Mrs. Weston was a 1929 graduate of Schley County High School and a 1933 graduate of the University of Georgia, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She was a high school English teacher for more than 25 years and lived in Talbotton from 1940-1995, before she was moved to a personal care home in Macon in 1995. Mrs. Weston was a member of Talbotton United Methodist Church and taught in the Sunday school most of her adult life. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Professional Society. In the past, Mrs. Weston was active in the American Cancer Society and the Perennial Garden Club. Following her retirement, she served as librarian of the Talbotton Public Library. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Talbotton UMC with the Rev. Chris Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Hamilton P. and Lynda N. Weston, Athens, and Charles H. and Gwen J. A native of Banks County, Mr. Williams was a son of the late Nancy Sue Bolton Williams and John Eubanks. He was retired after 36 years at WABCO of Toccoa, an avid farmer and cattleman, and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where he was an active deacon, former Sunday school teacher and member of the Emmanuel Sunday School Class and Pleasant Hill Sunshine Group. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Roy Melton officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens, North.
