A native of Muscogee County, Mrs. Alinger was a daughter of the late Ross and Iola Baxley Robinson. She was a retired school teacher from Banks County Primary School and was a member of The Georgia Retired Teachers Association and Rock Springs Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Whitfield Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Revs. Gene Todd and Gary Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Alinger, Hollingsworth; two daughters, Mrs. James G. Dolphus, Athens, and Martha Alinger Frady, Clarkesville; a brother, Ross Robinson, Columbus; and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Sara W. Brown Monroe Sara W. Brown, 85, died Friday, Dec. 4, 1998. A native of Walton County, Mrs. Brown was a daughter of the late Cleveland J. and Levi Adcock Williams and was married to the late M. Cary Brown. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was retired from Carwood Manufacturing Co. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Brant Callaway officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra B. King, Stone Mountain; two sons, Mell Brown and Kent Brown, both of Monroe; a sister, Alice Williams, Monroe; and five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Arthur Bowick, Inc., Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements. Parks B. Ellington Statham Parks B. Ellington, 83, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998. Mr. Parks was a son of the late Parks B. Ellington Sr. and Hattie Rebecca Christie Ellington. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Alice Camp. He was a school bus driver for DeKalb County, a mason, scout master, Sunday school teacher, and owner and operator of Ellington Boatworks in Atlanta and Statham for 30 years. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Smith Funeral Home, Winder. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Lillian McDowell Ellington; a daughter, Shirley Olson, Lawrenceville; two sons, David M. Kirckhoff, 84, formerly of Oconee County died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998. A native of Abbeville County, S.C., Mrs. Kirckhoff was a daughter of the late Crier and Sue Blackwell Davis and was married to the late Rev. J. Gilbert Kirckhoff. She was a financial secretary employed by Third Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, N.C., and also by South Carolina Agriculture Extension Service, and was a member of Friendship Presbyterian Church. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today in Oconee Memorial Park, Watkinsville, with William Thurman officiating. Survivors include a sister, Janet Davis Wright, Austell; a brother, M.C. Davis, Des Plaines, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. Arthur Bowick's Oconee Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Joseph Lukasiewicz Athens Joseph Lukasiewicz, 79, of 360 Belmont Road, died Friday Dec. 4, 1998. A native of Sharpsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Paul and Helen Lukasiewicz and was recently preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Lukasiewicz. He was retired from LTV Steel and was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church. He was a highly decorated war hero, having served in the United States Army in World War II. Mr. Lukasiewicz served under General George Patton and is recognized in the Soldiers and Sailors Hall of Valor, Pittsburgh, Pa. A private mass will be held with entombment in Athens Memory Gardens. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Bertha Lukasiewicz of Athens; daughter in law, Nancy Lukasiewicz of Athens; sister, Francis Goncar of Pittsburgh, Pa.; brother, Sigmund Lukasiewicz of New Jersey; two grandchildren, Lisa Lukasiewicz and Brian Lukasiewicz; many nieces and nephews. Maxwell Sr. Lavonia Donald Lee Maxwell Sr., 80, formerly of Lavonia, died Friday, Dec. 4, 1998. A native of Hart County, Mr. Maxwell was a son of the late Charlie Waco and Annie Shaw Maxwell. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pam Maxwell Boston, and a son, Donald Maxwell Jr. He was the retired owner and operator of Maxwell's Mattress and Upholstery Co. a member of Double Branches Baptist Church, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hamby Funeral Home with the Rev. David Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Andersonville Baptist Church Cemetery, Anderson, S.C. Survivors include his wife, Marguarette Smith Maxwell, Greer, S.C.; three daughters, Janie McAbee and Jean Whiten, both of Greer, S.C., and Charlene Bolt, Taylors, S.C.; three sons, Charley Maxwell, Greer, S.C., Billy Maxwell, Hartwell, and Jim Maxwell, Columbia, S.C.; a sister, Inez Wright, Anderson, S.C.; a brother, James Maxwell, Anderson, S.C.; and 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Roach Martin Hershel Fred Roach, 63, of 830 Pleasant Hill Road died Friday, Dec. 4, 1998. A native of Stephens County, Mr. Roach was a son of the late Duard and Louise Cole Roach. He was retired as produce manager from Beggs Food City in Lavonia, and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, the adult choir, and the Builders Sunday school class. He was a former Sunday school teacher in the intermediate class and also a Baptist training union leader in the youth department. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Billy Owensby, Bill Stacey, and Doug Goss officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Smith Roach; two sons, Ronnie Roach and Randy Roach, both of Martin; four sisters, Brenda Burton, Cornelia, Rachel Segars, Lavonia, Catherine Randall, Lawrenceville, and Carolyn Cook, Danielsville; a brother, Wendell Roach, Lavonia; and two grandchildren.
