A native of Fulton County, Mr. Cole was a son of Helen Balentine, Tallassee, Ala., and Don Cole, Toccoa. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was employed in the maintenance department of the Veterans Administration, a Mason and of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Perry Bailey officiating. Military graveside services will be accorded by Toccoa Post 4346 of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Middle River Baptist Cemetery, Carnesville. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a daughter, Misty Gunn, Baldwin; a son, Danny Joe Cole Jr., Toccoa; three half-sisters, Nicci Moseley and Renee Stokes, both of Tallassee, Ala., and Jane Stewart, Las Vegas; and a half-brother, Donnie Cole, Cornelia. The family is at the home of Danny Joe Cole Jr., Mize Road. Leon N. DeFoor Jr. Lavonia Leon N. DeFoor Jr., 60, of 254 Gilmer St. died Thursday, June 4, 1998. A native of Stephens County, Mr. DeFoor was a son of the late Leon N. DeFoor Sr. and Jewel Power DeFoor, and was the first infant born in Stephens County Hospital. He was a lifelong woodworker and was employed with Singer Furniture and later Robertson Furniture Co. He served in the National Guard, Lavonia, Georgia Guard Unit, and of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hamby-Weldon Funeral Home with the Revs. Larry Finger and Richard Bielski officiating. Burial will be in Lavonia City Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Jeanine Sewell DeFoor; and a son, Jamie DeFoor. The family is at the residence and will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Rev. Willie Gresham Omaha, Neb. The Rev. Willie Edd Gresham, formerly of Jackson County, died Sunday, May 31, 1998. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at New Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Norman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Survivors include four daughters, Patricia Gresham, Gwendolyn Gresham, Felicia Gresham and Denise Gresham, all of Athens; two sisters, Clydene Jones and Zella Golden, both of Omaha, Neb.; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Pauline Harrison Athens Pauline Gardiner Harrison, 88, of 801 Riverhill Drive died Wednesday, June 3, 1998. A native of Banks County, Mrs. Harrison was a daughter of the late Fred and Alice Gardiner and was the widow of Herbert Hyzier Harrison. She was a retired supervisor at the University of Georgia's Center for Continuing Education and a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at Bernstein Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Annie Peek Atlanta Annie Peek, 77, formerly of Greene County, died Tuesday, June 2, 1998. A native of Taliaferro County, Mrs. Peek was a daughter of the late Clearance and Beatrice Alexander. A native of West Virginia, Mr. Slaten was a son of Clara Catherine "Tilley" Slaten and the late William Clyde Slaten Sr. He was preceded in death by a grandchild. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and attended Liberty Methodist Church, where she was assistant pianist.
