A native of Clarke County, Mr. Dial was a son of Frances Campbell of Crawford and Billy Dial of Nicholson. He was employed with the University of Georgia and attended Sonlight Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home East, Athens, with the Revs. Daniel Corbet and David Bert officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his fiancee, Patricia Chastain, Crawford; two daughters, Kimberly Dial, Palmetto, and Georgia Dial, Slidell, La.; a son, Dustin Dial, Palmetto; two sisters, Leighann Monteclavo, Homer, and Dawn Milkowits, New Providence, N.J.; a brother, Webster Campbell, Crawford; and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bobby Davis, Robbie Cutsail, Robbie McCurley, Bill Trissell, Brent Canup and Rodney Williams. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles Gearing. The family is at #6 Huntington Lane and will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Cleo B. Duren Commerce Cleo B. Duren, 82, of 226 Cain Road, died Monday, April 6, 1998. A native of Gwinnett County, Mrs. Duren was a daughter of the late Jones Edward and Dixie V. Knox Dodd and was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Edwards. She was a homemaker. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hudson River Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Moon officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Emmett Duren; two daughters, Betty Edwards and Beverly Scott, both of Commerce; a son, Jones Allen Garmon, Duluth; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family is at the residence and will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at Ivie Funeral Home. Lynnwood Hart Hazlehurst Lynnwood Hart, 68, died Friday, April 3, 1998. A native of Jackson, Mr. Hart was a son of the late Boyd and Vera Howington Hart and was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda H. Ray. He was a retired truck driver for Hazlehurst Mills and a member of Hazlehurst Pentecostal Church. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Hazlehurst Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Archie Kight and Randy Manning officiating. Burial was in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery. Graden Hill Jr., 54, of 1520 Spartan Lane, died Thursday, April 2, 1998. A native of Gadsden, Ala., Mr. Hill was a son of the late Arthur Graden Hill Sr. and the late Irene Noah Hill of Gadsden, Ala. Having lived the majority of his life in Gadsden, he attended Jacksonville State University and the University of Alabama as a business administration major. He served in the U.S. Army and was discharged January 1970. He retired from The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in 1989. Upon his move to Athens, Ga., that year, he accepted a position as a manufacturer and production control supervisor in the DelMar Division of Levolor Home Fashions. During his final year, he was an associate of Tommy Elmore of T.L.E. Professional Home Inspections of Athens, Ga. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Day Chapel of The State Botanical Garden of Georgia with the Rev. Sam Nichols officiating. The memorial service will be followed immediately by a festive celebration of Graden's life on the lower level of the chapel. All attendees are invited. Mrs. Phillips was born in Hart County on Feb. 2, 1920, a daughter of the late Sam and Lola Prather Shaw. She was preceded in death by two sons, Hugh Melvin Phillips and Jerry Mitchell Phillips; a sister, Arlene Starrett; and a brother, Boyd Shaw. She was a retired nursing assistant at Ty Cobb Health Care Center and a member of Zidon Baptist Church. Her husband was the late Hugh Dorsey Phillips.
