A native of Clarke County, Ms. Hanson was a daughter of the late James M. and Bessie Bryant. She was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church and retired from Food Services at the University of Georgia. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Annette Johnson Watkinsville Annette Barry Johnson, 88, of 1211 Woodlands Road died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998. A native of DeKalb County, Mrs. Johnson was a daughter of the late Robert Edwin and Anna Greene Barry and was widow of Lloyd C. Johnson. She was a retired secretary for the DeKalb Planning Commission and a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir for 10 years and was active in church work and mission work. She served with the American Red Cross during World War II. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Faith Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert McAndrew officiating. Burial will be in Decatur. Alice Price Elberton Alice Virginia Nock Price, 94, formerly of 18 Tusten St. died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Price was a daughter of the late Ernest G. and Alice Dent Nock and widow of Hunter J. "Chigger" Price. A graduate of the University of Georgia, she was a retired elementary school teacher and a member of Elberton First United Methodist Church. A native of Hart County, Mr. Rowland was a son of the late George A. and Myrtice Rumsey Rowland and widower of Lettie Mauldin Rowland. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy J. Rowland. He was retired from Hartwell Mills, where he was a sweeper, and he was a retired farmer. He was a member of Milltown Baptist Church. A native of Franklin County, Mr. South was a son of the late Alfred L. and Sallie Catherine Bruce South. He was retired from the Air Force after serving in World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War, and also was retired from civil service at Dobbins Air Force Base. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Spencer was a son of Hazel M. Spencer, Athens, and the late William Spencer Jr. He had lived in this area all of his life and was a member of Redstone Methodist Church. For the past 20 years, he owned and operated Heritage Amusement Co. He was an active member of GAMOA, having served as treasurer, president for two terms, and member of the Board of Directors.
