Alfred Crowe Toccoa William Alfred Crowe, 56, of Talmadge Drive died Friday, Sept. 4, 1998. A native of Stephens County, Mr. Crowe was a son of the late Fred Crowe Sr. and Geanette Mosley Crow. He was a carpenter in house building and of the Holiness faith. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth McIntyre officiating. Burial will be in Toccoa Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Teresa McCurry, Toccoa; three sons, Dickie Crowe, Richard Crowe, and Brad Crowe, all of Toccoa; three sisters, Geanelle Ellis, Lavonia, Jane Harris, Seneca, S.C., and Elizabeth Mitchell, Canon; four brothers, Fred Crowe Jr., Anderson, S.C., Albert Crowe, Toccoa, Mike Crowe, Lavonia, and Donald Crowe, Athens; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Arthur Williams, Harley Pitts, Ronnie Andrews, Bruce Wilbanks, Richard Crowe, and Bobby Griggs. The family is at the home of June Crowe, 171 Nassau St., Toccoa, and will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today. Ruby Price Athens Ruby C. Price, 64, of 325 Hancock Lane, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 1998 after an extended illness. Mrs. Price, a native of Savannah, was the daughter of the late George A. and Josephine Greif Pannal. She had lived in Athens since 1975 and was an active member of Green Acres Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and enjoyed singing with the choir. Mrs. Price worked for many years with local real estate agencies. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998, at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Babin will officiate. Entombment will be at Athens Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mr. Doug Ard, Mr. David Fletcher, Dr. Larry Guthrie, Dr. Daryl Johnson, Mr. Bob McElrath, and Dr. Estes Reynolds. Survivors include her husband, Everett E. Price; five children, Brenda Hagan, Greenville, N.C., Diane Neathery, Athens, Marianne Lin, Charlotte, N.C., Teresa Lanford, Liberty, S.C., and Gene Price, Athens; a sister, Marjorie Jarvis, Wichita Falls, Texas; and ten grandchildren. A native of Putnam County, Mrs. Rakestraw was a daughter of the late William Edward Jackson and Edie Redd Jackson. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church West. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Ebenezer Baptist Church West with the Rev. Winfred M. Hope officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Survivors include a sister, Thelma Baker, Athens, and a brother, James Jackson, Atlanta. Beulah Echols Tribble Alto Beulah Echols Tribble, 88, of Mud Creek Road died Sunday, Sept. 6, 1998. A native of Hall County, Mrs. Tribble was a daughter of the late Timothy and Cordelia Duncan Echols and was married to the late Rucker Tribble. She was a former employee of Carwood Manufacturing Co. and retired as an inspector with Warren Featherbone Co. after several years of service. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Enon Baptist Church with the Revs. Paul Morris, Clyde Garrison, and Loyd Martin officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery with graveside services by the Rev. Gerry Wiley.
