A native of Franklin County, Mr. Carroll was a son of the late Monroe and Susie Shirley Carroll. He was owner and operator of Carroll's Furniture since 1954, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a former advisory board member of North East Georgia Bank, a member of Bowersville United Methodist Church, Royston Chamber of Commerce, Bowersville Masonic Lodge No. 595, a Royal Art Mason in Lavonia, and was a Yarrab Temple Shriner. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Pruitte Funeral Home with the Revs. Merritt Waters and Kenneth Delittle officiating. Burial will be in Bowersville City Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Lucy Ellen Foster Carroll; a daughter, Nancy Nichols, Commerce; a son, Wayne Carroll, Hartwell; four sisters, Geraldine Strickland, Canon, Anita Vickery, Hartwell, Jewell Fowler, Royston, and Katherine Carroll, Atlanta; and four grandchildren. Frances Collins Louisville Frances Collins, 63, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998. A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Miss Collins was a daughter of Mildred Oldham Collins and the late Thomas Wayne Collins Sr. Services were Friday. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include two brothers, Larry O. Collins, Greensboro, N.C., and Thomas W. Collins Jr., Hampton. Mae Davis Eastanollee Anna Mae Stowe Davis, 92, of Route 1 died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998. A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Davis was a daughter of the late Don D. and Hattie Minyard Stowe and was the widow of Henry L. Davis. She was a retired teacher having taught for 42 years, was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, Toms Creek Baptist Church, the Sunshine Sunday School Class, the WMU, the XYZ Club, and had taught Sunday school for a number of years. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Toms Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Clack Stubbs, Kenneth Moon and J.W. Stowe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A native of Commerce, Ms. Hanson was a daughter of Rosie Baker Anderson, Commerce, and the late Tom Anderson. She was a seamstress employed by Blue Bell Inc. Idus Harrison Cornelia Idus Harrison, 72, of Pea Ridge Road died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998. A native of Hall County, Mr. Harrison was a son of the late Idus Samuel and Sallie Pearl Morrison Harrison. He was a retired farmer and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and Gideons International. He was a machinist for heavy equipment, a deacon at Rutledge Baptist Church, and a member of Rutledge DeWald Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion. A native of Macon, Mr. Williams was a son of Dr. Phillip L. and Theda Morton Williams. He was a 1995 honor graduate of Oconee County High School and was currently a Senior at Shorter College where he was scheduled to graduate in December, Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in business administration, followed by graduate school this fall. He was a two-time Academic All American and a three-time National Finalist in College Cross Country. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West, with the Rev. Robert Darvill officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens. Jasper Woodroof Griffin Jasper Guy Woodroof, 98, of 4294 Old Atlanta Road died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998. A native of Meriweather County, Dr. Woodroof was a son of the late James Madison and Cora Idella Rosser Woodroof and was married to the late Naomi Chapman Woodroof. He was a food scientist with the Georgia Experiment Station, a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Griffin, and a member of the Griffin Kiwanis Club, Spalding County Board of Health and American Legion. He was General Griffin. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Griffin with the Revs. Bruce M. Morgan and David Lee officiating. Burial will be in Woodbury City Cemetery with full military honors.
