Mrs. Allen was a daughter of Mickey and Allyne Shaw and was the widow of Charles Philip Allen. She was retired from Gwinnett Medical Center and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Smith's Funeral Home, Winder, with the Revs. Ted Dunagan and W.L. Pruett officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Survivors, in addition to her parents, include two daughters, Angela Kay Pruett and Ashley Michelle Allen, both of Loganville; a son, Danny Charles Roberts, Loganville; two brothers, Hubert "Allen" Shaw, Lawrenceville, and Mickey Eugene Shaw Jr., Snellville; and three grandchildren. A native of Greene County, Mrs. Brooks was a daughter of the late Luther M. Collins and Jessie Callaway and was the widow of Curtis Eugene Brooks Sr. She was a machine operator at Chipman Union and a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Union Point. A native of Oconee County, Mr. Butler was a son of the late Russ and Mary Ann Dukes Butler. He was a veteran of World War II, of the Baptist faith and a retired paint contractor. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Collins was a daughter of the late Ozie and Jessie House Evans and the widow of John C. Collins. She was a homemaker and lifetime member of the Bethel M. Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at the Bethel M. Baptist Church with the Revs. Robert L. Thomas and Williard Crider officiating. A native of Alabama, Mrs. Cox was a daughter of the late Garian M. and Ruth Weeks Spivey and was the widow Richard Harold Tindall and the Rev. A.G. Cox. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. She started the Prayer and Share Bible study group at Lanier Gardens, and served as chairman of several groups while she was a resident there. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. James United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kent Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Gordon's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Gaines was a daughter of the late Ezra Freeman and Desore Boggs Freeman and was the widow of Joe Carl Gaines. She was a retired telephone operator and member of the Elberton First United Methodist Church, the Lena Childs Sunday School Class, and the Elbert Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today at the Elberton First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Wallace E. Wheeles and Robert Boggs officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Hills Park Cemetery. A native of Alabama, Ms. Gartseff was a member of the Cathedral Church of the Advent. She held a masters degree in library science. She was a graduate of Shades Valley High School and Samford University. She received her masters degree from Peabody College in Nashville, Tenn. She was employed by the University of Georgia libraries for 31 years and sang in the Athens Choral Society. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cathedral Church of the Advent. A native of Houston, Texas, Mr. White was a son of J.B. and Janice Judy Standridge White and was married to Angela Martin White. He was of the Christian faith and was a production supervisor with Fieldale for nine years. He was a 1987 graduate of Habersham Central High School.
