A native of Hall County, Mr. Anderson was a son of the late James Larkin and Martha Freeland Anderson. He was a retired Jefferson merchant and a member of First Christian Church of Jefferson. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Evans Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Louise Morgan Anderson; two sons, Reginald Anderson, Huntsville, Ala., and Frank Anderson, Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or a favorite charity. Janet Arnold Rayle Janet Vaughn Arnold, 37, of 261-R Winfrey Road died Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998. A native of Wilkes County, Mrs. Arnold was a daughter of the late Cecil and Pearl Mauldin Vaughn. She was a homemaker and a member of Sardis Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sardis Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Quicke and Joe Heathcoat. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include her husband, James Arnold; a son, Jody Lee Arnold, Rayle; five sisters, Brenda Echols, Jane Lamar and Cecile Poss, all of Rayle, Kathy Jordan, Acworth, and Karen Martin, Comer; and a brother, Johnny Vaughn, Reno, Nev. Robert Burch Lithonia Robert Edward "Ken" Burch, 51, of 5270 Cedar Rock Drive died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Burch was a son of Clouis Burch, Hartwell, and the late Berry Burch. He was a member of Maple Spring Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Hartwell, with the Rev. Alvin Scott officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Maple Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. Edwin James Canon Edwin Leo James, 50, of 2021 Blacksnake Road went to join his heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 7, 1998, after a courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Franklin County, Mr. James is the son of Herbert Leo James of Royston and the late Alberta "M.B." Weaver James. He was a 1966 graduate of Franklin County High School and a 1970 graduate of Southern tech. He served in the U.S. Army spending several years in Europe during the Vietnam War. He worked for the City of Royston for 33 years in the Natural Gas Department. He was a member of Canon Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher. Funeral services will be Friday, October 9, 1998, at 4 p.m. at Canon Baptist Church with the Revs. Paul Creason and Eldon Massey officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his father, include his wife of 25 years, Sharon Milford James; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Paul L. and Adrianne B. James of Canon, David D. James and Benjamin E. James of the home; a brother, Dr. Michael D. James, Royston, Georgia. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Mary Lindgren Watkinsville Mary Bertina Lindgren, 76, died Friday, Oct. 3, 1998. A native of Birmingham, Ala., Mrs. Lindgren was a daughter of the late Odrien and Marietta Stubbs James. Memorial services were Thursday at First Christian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Linda J. Neumann and Hilda Key, both of Brevard; a son, Harold James Lindgren, Watkinsville; two brothers, Raymond James, Millersville, and Homer James, Haddock; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Moody-Connolly Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Dr. Robert Moye Sr. Swainsboro Dr. Robert James Moye Sr., 79, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998. Dr. Moye attended Georgia Southern College for two years before receiving his pilot's wings from the Navy in 1941, serving five years in French Morocco and North Africa, and graduated from the U.S. Navy School of Photography, Pensacola, Fla. He returned to Georgia Southern College and received his B.S. degree in 1947 and his doctor of medicine degree at the Medical College of Georgia in 1952. He opened Adrian Clinic in July 1953 in association with his father. After his father's death, he moved to Swainsboro and became associated in medical practice with Dr. Herbert R. Frost in 1956. He was a charter member of the Emanuel County medical staff when Emanuel County Hospital was opened in 1952. He served as chief of the medical staff on various occasions and served the building committee as medical adviser. He was a member and past president of the Swainsboro Exchange Club, Swainsboro Golf and Country Club and the Emanuel County Medical Association and a former deacon of First Baptist Church of Swainsboro. He was a past member of the board of regents at the University of Georgia. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert J. Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in Eastbrook Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Lois D. Moye; three sons, Dr. Robert J. Moye Jr., Macon, Charles Graybill "Chuck" Moye, Thomson, and Dr. Daniel Dickerson Moye, Athens; a sister, Louise M. Jackson, Wrightsville; a brother, the Rev. Thomas Moye, Providence, R.I.; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Alex Grindler, Wilbur Stephens, Bobby Sasser, Sid Shepherd, Frank Canady and John Neighbors. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Memorial services were Monday. Survivors include her husband, Richardo M. Picazo; a daughter, Rebecca E. Morgan, Danielsville; a sister, Estrella Gavilan, Hollywood, Fla.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The family is at the home of Mr. Richardo M. A native of Greene County, Mrs. Reid was a daughter of the late John and Lila King and was the widow of Robert Reid. She was a member of New Springfield Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Kilpatrick Cemetery, White Plains. Survivors include a son,, Frank Reid, Siloam; a grandson raised in the home, John L. A native of Copper Hill, Tenn., Mr. Snow was a son of the late Joseph E. and Irene Brown Snow. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired pharmacist. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Hunting Island State Park, S.C. with Chaplain Bob Beasley officiating.
