He was a construction worker. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Solid Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Swayne Carlan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Opal Brady; three daughters, Susie Brock, Buford, Martha Collett, Athens, and Emma Willard, Maysville; five sons, Barry Brady, Maysville, Charles Brady, David Brady and William Brady, all of Lawrenceville, and Joey Brady, Hoschton; a sister, Mary McMillian, Cherokee, N.C.; a brother, Robert Brady, Winston-Salem, N.C.; 22 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A native of Dodge County, she was a daughter of the late Andrew N. and Clifford Lyles Blankenship. She was a homemaker and a member of Bishop Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jack Sanders and Jimmy Sanders. Cliff Peters Athens Clifford Glenn Peters, 76, of 1005 College Station Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1998. A native of Hadley, Pa., Mr. Peters was a son of the late William C. and Elsie Blanche Peters. He was retired from Westinghouse, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was an honorary life member of Athens Elks Lodge 790, having served three terms as exalted ruler, district deputy grand exalted ruler, vice president northeast of the Georgia Elks Association and in other state offices. He was a member of Mount Vernon Masonic Lodge 22, a life member of American Legion Post 123, and a charter member of Green Acres Baptist Church. A native of St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Peterson was married to Gorden H. Peterson, Athens, for 60 years. She and her husband moved to Athens from Springfield, Ill., in 1974 after his retirement. She was a member of Beech Haven Baptist Church, PEO Chapter AD, and the Cedar Creek Garden Club. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Beech Haven Baptist Church. A native of Cornwall, N.Y., Mr. Redfern was a son of the late William and Annie Connors Redfern and the widower of Helen Victoria Leach Redfern. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Cooney Brothers, Central Valley, N.Y. He was a member of the Elks, the Moose, was a Mason, and was of the Presbyterian faith.
