She was a retired nurse, and a member of Toccoa First Baptist Church, the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, the Toccoa Womans Club and the Pilot Club. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Toccoa with the Revs. Henry Fields, Byron Kennerly and Fred Young officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Survivors include her husband, Lucius B. Alewine; two daughters, Patsy Shaw, Toccoa, and Elaine Martin, Cornelia; a son, Bob Alewine, Clarksville; a sister, Hythan Higginbotham, Toccoa; a brother, Owen Bray, Cordele; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 601 Tugalo St., Toccoa. Henry Borders Commerce Henry Borders, 87, of 210 Bennett St. died Sunday, Nov. 8. 1998. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Borders was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andy Mack Borders. He was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Flat Creek Baptist Church, Commerce, with the Rev. Howard Bailey officiating. Survivors include his wife, Roxie Borders; two sons, Douglas Borders, Homer, and Samuel Borders, Commerce; three daughters, Carolyn Williams and Ella Borders, both of Atlanta, and Olivia Bailey, Athens; a sister, Thelma Hardy, Commerce; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Moss-Stovall-Neal funeral Home, Toccoa, is in charge of arrangements. Larry Brewer Winder Larry Brewer, 40, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998. A son of Kenneth and Ruth Brewer of Braselton, Mr. Brewer was a graduate of the Columbia School of Broadcasting. He worked for radio stations in North Carolina before moving to Georgia. He was employed at Hill's Ace Hardware and Supply Co. and was a member and deacon of Zion Baptist Church, Braselton. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. at Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Phillips officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 3 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Wren McLeroy Brewer; a son, Tyler Brewer, Winder; two stepdaughters, Melanie Edwards, Clarksville, Tenn., and Stephanie Hampton, Hoschton; and four grandchildren. Homer Dawson Union Point Homer Dawson, 78, of 404 Hart Ave., Union Point, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998. A native of Greene County, Mr. Dawson was the son of the late Homer Callaway and Lue Emma Armour. He was a distributor for Chipman Union Manufacturing and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Penfield. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Callaway. Services will be 11 a.m. today in Greenlawn Cemetery, Union Point, with the Rev. Talmage Walker officiating. Survivors include his wife, Ada Ellison Callaway; a daughter, Peggy C. Walker, Greensboro; a son, Johnny Callaway, Union Point; a sister, Polly Callaway Powell, Union Point; two brothers, James Callaway and William Callaway, both of Union Point; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Virginia R. Emerson, 82, of Richmond, Va., died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998. Mrs. Emerson was the widow of William M. Emerson. Survivors include a son, William M. Fitzpatrick Danielsville Marcile C. Fitzpatrick, 89, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998. Mrs. Fitzpatrick was a daughter of the late Tom Culbertson and Lettie Jane Cleghorne and was the widow of Ollie Fitzpatrick. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Services will 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Revs. Dennis Keesler and Douglas Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Ila Cemetery. Jessie Killam Greensboro Jessie Emily Baber Killam, 87, of 203 N. East St., Greensboro, died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998. A native of Belize City, Belize, Ms. Killam was the daughter of the late William Arthur Baber and Cristina Antoinette Wills and was the widow of F.H. Killam. She worked in a dentist's office, was a graduate of St. Hildas School, Belize, and was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church, Augusta.
