Mr. Allen was a son of Marie David Williams and Thomas Allen. Funeral services will be at noon today at Jones Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry David officiating. Survivors include a son, Terry Thomas Allen Jr., Atlanta; three sisters, Kay Thomas, Stacy Rucker and Jacqueline Gholston, all of Commerce; three brothers, John Thomas Allen Jr. and Kerry Maurice Williams, both of Commerce, and the Rev. Jerry Steve David, Monroe; and two grandchildren. Forestglen Mortuary, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements. Sudie Bass Athens Sudie E. Cawthon Bass, 88, of Athens Heritage Nursing Home, went home to be with the Lord June 11, 1998. A native of Lavonia, Ga., she had lived in this area for 64 years. She was a daughter of the late Wade Hampton and Sarah Maret Cawthon. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Arthur G. Bass Sr. She was a homemaker and Sunday school teacher for many years and a member of First Baptist Church of Athens and the M&M Sunday school class. Funeral services will be today, June 13, 1998, at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home West, Bogart. Dr. Jon Appleton will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Karen B. and Robert Mulder of Athens; her son, Arthur Gates Bass Jr., of Hollywood, Fla.; brothers, Fay Cawthon of Toccoa, and Royce Cawthon of Gainesville, Ga.; sister, Katherine Maldarelli of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren, M. Steven Bass and Kevin Lee Mulder, both of Franklin, Tenn., and Robert Brian Mulder of Richmond, Va. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the M&M Sunday school class. Henry Crane Homer Henry Crane, 78, of 1008 U.S. Highway 441 South died Thursday, June 11, 1998. A native of Banks County, Mr. Crane was a son of the late George and Dessie Morris Crane. He was preceded in death by a son, David Crane. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Homer Baptist Church, Homer Lodge Phi Delta 148 F&AM, National Sheriff Association and Peace Officers Association. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Homer Baptist Church with the Revs. Chris Burton and Donald Tritt officiating. Burial will be in Grove Level Baptist Church, Maysville. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Pat Cotton Crane; two daughters, Martha Crane and Rita Pickens, both of Homer; a sister, Nell Cagle, Maysville; a brother, Sydney Crane, Maysville; and a granddaughter, Laura Rose Pickens, Homer. "Marty" Hulsey, 42, of 110 Montclair Court died Thursday June 11, 1998. A native of Fulton County, Mr. Hulsey was a son of J. Charles and Marion E. Ferguson Hulsey. He was an assistant research scientist at the University of Georgia and a recipient of the Anderson Award from the UGA Research Foundation. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cleveland Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Davis officiating. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Sherie Lee Hulsey, Bogart; a daughter, Angela Hulsey, Bogart; a son, Michael Hulsey, Bogart; and a brother, Jim Hulsey, Cleveland. Jenkins Hartwell Patience R. Jenkins, 92, of 50 Hill St. died Wednesday, June 10, 1998. A native of Lauderdale County, Miss., Mrs. Jenkins was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Harriett Rogers and was the widow of Matthew Jenkins Sr. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Meridian, Miss., and a member of the Heroines of Jenicho Lauderdale Court No. 266. Funeral services will be at noon today at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Survivors include two daughters, Edna Bell and Alice Oliver, both of Hartwell; a stepson, the Rev. A native of Hall County, Mrs. Powell was a daughter of the late Terrell Lamar and Willie Mae Godgrey Philyaw. She was a homemaker and a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Solid Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Swayne Carlan officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery. Stansell of 329 Ryan Road died Thursday, June 11, 1998. A native of Ocala, Fla., Mrs. Stansell is a daughter of the late Harold S. and Alyce C. Dutton. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Sunday school class, and was very active in her church, from teaching to chairman of the administrative board. She was a leader in Girl Scouts for 40 years, recently on the Northeast Georgia Girl Scout Council. She taught in public schools for 20 years, and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Retired Teachers Association, Jug Tavern Quilting Guild and Barrow County Historical Society. She was on the panel review of custody of Barrow County and a recipient of the Chamber of Commerce Merit Award. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at First UMC with the Revs. Larry Rary and Susan McLocklin officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Dr. John E. Stansell; two daughters, Caren Anne Cilliam, Knoxville, and Jennifer Stansell, New Orleans; four sons, John D. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Young was a son of the late Shelton Barnett and Jesmer May Young. An Army veteran, he was retired from the City of Athens and was a member of Colliers Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10 and American Legion, Lexington. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Arnoldsville Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Survivors include his wife, Genevea B.
