A native of Habersham County, Mrs. Baker was a daughter of the late Bud and Ida Fitzgerald Youngblood and widow of Jackson Baker. She was of the Baptist faith. Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernest Ivester officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Survivors include three daughters, Verlene Childs, Augusta, Guynell Cabe, Green Cove Springs, Fla., and Cynthia Roper, Charleston, S.C.; two sons, Edward Baker, Conyers, and Winford Baker, Lithonia; a sister, Willene Ivester, Clarkesville; and eight grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Clifford Barnes Washington Clifford Barnes, 49, of 762 Lincoln Circle died Wednesday Nov. 11, 1998. A native of Wilkes County, Mr. Barnes was a son of Camille M. Barnes, Washington, and the late Hal Barnes Sr. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at New Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. R.L. Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include two daughters, Murceia Turner, Washington, and Coretta Finnell, Marietta; a son, Savalas Barnes, Washington; two sisters, Rosella Harden and Brenda Ferrell, both of Washington; a brother, Hal Barnes Jr., Washington; and two grandchildren. Davenport-McClendon Mortuary Inc. is in charge of arrangements. L.C. Burden Danielsville L.C. Burden, 81, of 2453 Highway 98 West died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Burden was a son of the late Pope and Georgia Mae Craft Burden. He was an engineer for Delta Airlines and served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was a member of Forest Park Masonic Lodge 399 and the Yaarab Temple, and attended Friendship Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church with the Revs. Dayton Logan and Mark Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Esther Louise Husley Burden; four stepdaughters, Brenda Floyd, Anderson, S.C., Pat Binns, Travelers Rest, S.C., Donna Lakey, Adona, Ark., and Cathy Lawrence, Conyers; four stepsons, Kendall Dean, Douglas Dean and Tony Dean, all of Danielsville, and Dwight Dean, Nicholson; and 15 stepgrandchildren and 15 step-great-grandchildren. The family is at the home and will receive friends 7-9 pm. today at Pruitte Funeral Home, Royston. Loretta Cain Athens Loretta McKinney Cain, 100, of 801 Riverhill Drive died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998. A native of Hall County, Mrs. Cain was a daughter of the late John Charles and Josephine Smith McKinney. She was a homemaker and an active member of First Baptist Church where she was a member of M&M Sunday School class. Mrs. Cain was preceded in death by a son, John R. Cain Jr. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Bernstein Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Jon Appleton officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include a daughter, Joan C. Eagan, Gainesville, three grandchildren, Sally Bishop, Lexington, S.C., Michael Eagan, Manister, Mich., and Gail Newsome, Orlando, Fla.; and four great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Clarsy Childs Athens Clarsy C. Childs, 67, of 4127 Old Danielsville Road died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Childs was a daughter of the late W.O. and Ruby Jarrett Trammell. She was of the holiness faith. Mrs. Childs was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeannie Marie Crowell. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Victory Baptist Church with the Revs. Elmer Butler, Curtis Lee Hammond, Douglas Hammond and Tim Hammond officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Survivors include her hus band, Frank Childs; two daughters, Charlotte Tittle, Winterville, and Betty Jean Smith, Jefferson; three sons, Billy Trammell, California, Curtis Lee Childs, Athens, and Frank Childs Jr., Newnan; two sisters, Mary Frances Luke, Bogart, and Margie Lord, Pendergrass; two brothers, George Trammell and Bruce Trammell, both of Jackson County; and nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Sara Yeargin Elberton Sara Mildred Davis Yeargin, 82, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1998. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Yeargin was a daughter of the late Thomas Grady Davis and Ida Lee Davis, and widow of Clarence Yeargin. She was a member of Eliam United Methodist Church and a homemaker. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Berry funeral Home with the Revs. Rick Maeser and Carl Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Tate, Elberton; three sisters, Genell Lyles, Toccoa, and Amalee McCullough and Vera Davis, both of Duncan, Okla.; a brother, Lawrence Davis, Atlanta; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Michael Fernandez, Dr. Louis Fernandez, Carroll Rickman Yeargin and Henry Madden.
