A native of Banks County, Mr. Chitwood was a son of the late Luther and Omie Crenshaw Chitwood. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was a retired V.A. Hospital engineer and a member of First Baptist Church of Commerce. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Don Paulson and Ralph O. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, Lula. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Survivors include four daughters, Deanna Burton, Susan Harris, Kelly Purcell and Joann Sailers, all of Commerce; three brothers, Billy Chitwood and Ray Chitwood, both of Lula, and Charles Chitwood, Lithia Springs; a sister, Hazel Pair, Alpharetta; and four grandchildren. A native of Habersham County, Miss Dillashaw was a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Minnie Miller Dillashaw. She was a member of B.C. Grant Baptist Church. Zeb Elliott Toccoa Zebadee Thomas "Zeb" Elliott, 64, of 356 Morgan St. died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Elliott was a son of the late Louis Dolphus and Nobie McCracken Elliott and the widower of Linda Barrett Elliott. He was a carpenter and involved in the home building industry. He was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. A native of Hart County, Mr. Sanders was a son of Myra Sanders of Hartwell and the late Charlie P. Sanders. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Briana Gunckel. He was a member of Battle Hill Masonic Lodge 523 and First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Flat Shoals Baptist Church with the Rev. Edmund Smith Atlanta Edmund Carlyle Smith, 97, of 1650 Merton Road N.E. died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998. A native of Dublin, Mr. Smith was a son of the late Hardy Hamilton and Augusta Cook Smith and the widower of Farris Jane Hix Alexander Smith. A veteran of World War I and World War II, he was a member of of Comer Baptist Church since 1948, served as a deacon, founded and taught a Men's Sunday school class for many years and was a member of several civic organizations. He taught high school and owned an antique shop with his wife until their retirement. He earned a B.S. degree in 1921 from Emory University, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and other campus organizations. He and his late wife performed volunteer service for the Alzheimer's Foundation in Atlanta. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Comer Baptist Church with the Revs. David C. Jordan, Stuart Lang, John Davidson and Holland B. Clark officiating. Burial will be in Comer Cemetery. Survivors include a son, William H. "Bill" Alexander, Atlanta; a foster son, Celso B.G. She was preceded in death by five brothers, two granddaughters and a great-great-grandson.
