A native of Sevier County, Tenn., Mr. Bohannan was a son of the late Decatur and Leona Breeden Bohannan. He was retired from Reliance Electric. Funeral services will be at 4:30 p.m. today at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Rev. Elmer Butler officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Anna Huffman Bohannan; two daughters, Linda Queen, Gillsville, and Ruth E. Waters, Savannah; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Lewis E. Christoffersen Rayle Lewis E. Christoffersen, 69, of 210 Chafin-Echols Road, died Friday, June 12, 1998. A native of West Virginia, Mr. Christoffersen was a son of the late Edward and Virginia Christoffersen. He was the manager for a Kroger's warehouse for 42 years. He was a member of CSRA Kennel Club. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hopkins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alan Shields officiating. Burial will be in Washington-Wilkes Memorial Garden. Survivors include his wife, Clara Christoffersen; four sons, Jack Christoffersen, Stone Mountain, Steve Christoffersen, Pennsylvania, Eric Christoffersen, Rayle, and Karl Christoffersen, Dacula; one brother, Ed Christoffersen, German Town, Tenn.; one sister, Nancy Tiburzio, Columbus, Ohio; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday night at Hopkins Funeral Home. Dorothy Dozier Washington Dorothy "Dot" Blackmon Dozier, 69, of 520 N. Alexander Ave., died Friday, June 12, 1998. A native of Wilkes County, Mrs. Dozier was a homemaker, a member of Beulah Baptist Church, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5899. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Hopkins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Albert Huyck officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery. Mrs. Dozier is survived by her husband, Bill Dozier. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation. Barry D. Johnson Sr. Lexington Barry David Johnson Sr., 52, of Sandy Cross Community, died Friday, June 12, 1998. A native and life-long resident of Oglethorpe County, Barry was the son of Robert Cecil and L.E. Colquitt Johnson. He was a member and ordained deacon of Sandy Cross Baptist Church. Barry was associated with the Commercial Bank of Crawford for thirty years, serving as senior vice president and a member of the Board of Directors. In addition to his parents, family members include his wife, Marion Chandler Johnson; one son, David Johnson, Lexington; one daughter, Dawn Johnson, Dahlonega; one brother, Robert Johnson and Joyce Johnson, Lexington; one sister, Geraldine and Johnny Bridges, Dalton; his mother-in-law, Sara Faust Chandler, Crawford; and numerous relatives and friends. In accordance with Barry's expressed desires, his body was cremated and the memorial service will be private. Maxwell Bowman Wayne N. Maxwell, 58, died Saturday, June 13, 1998. A native of Elbert County, he was the son of Irene David Maxwell and the late Doyt Maxwell. He was the co-owner of N.E. Ga. Tile and Stone, a member of the Rehoboth Baptist Church, the Bowman City Council, and the Bowman Masonic Lodge. Paul Sheridan Athens Paul Sheridan, 79, of 327 Holman Ave., died Saturday, June 13, 1998. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Sheridan was a retired postman and a U.S. Air Force World War II veteran. He was a son of the late Lee Sheridan and Sally Hooper. Mr. Sheridan was preceded in death by a son, Tim Sheridan. He was a member of Elks Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion Post 185. Mr. Sheridan was of the Methodist faith. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the Bernstein Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raymond Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
