A native of Stephens County, Mr. Cobb was a son of Dewey and Betty Nicholson Cobb of Toccoa. He was of the Baptist faith and employed with Cobb's Roofing for 23 years. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rock Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Leon Miller and Harrison Presley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Zina Haynie Cobb; two sons, Kevin Neal Cobb and Terry Allen Cobb Jr., both of San Demento, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Tiffany Carr, Toccoa; two sisters, Becky Turner and Peggy Findley, both of Toccoa; a niece and a nephew. The family is at the residence and will receive friends 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at Whitlock Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 106 Rose Lane, Toccoa, Ga. 30577. Ollie L. Garrett Toccoa Ollie Loudermilk Garrett, 100, of 257 Riley St., died Thursday, March 12, 1998. A native of Habersham County, Mrs. Garrett was a daughter of the late George and Josie Childs Loudermilk and widow of Judge H. Garrett. She was preceded in death by two sons, Carl Garrett and Cleo Garrett. She was retired from the Stephens County school system and a member of Hazel Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Scott officiating. Entombment will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Survivors include three daughters, Rosa Lee Lewallen and Joyce Agnew, both of Toccoa, and Josie Mae Smith, Jonesboro; four sons, Hilliard Garrett and J.O. Garrett, both of Toccoa, Jesse Garrett, Royston, and Bud Garrett, Helen; 21 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family members are at their respective homes and will receive friends 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Daryl Higgins Demorest Daryl Micheal Higgins, 20, of Central Avenue, died Thursday, March 12, 1998. A native of Habersham County, Mr. Higgins was a son of Donald Higgins of Demorest and the late Charlotte Higgins. He was an employee of Color Perfect Painting and attended Bible Landmark Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Friendly Mission Baptist Church with the Revs. Curtis Woods and Danny O'Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Baldwin Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Survivors, in addition to his father, include two brothers, Kenny Higgins, Cornelia, and Jeff Higgins, Clarkesville; and two grandparents, Buddy and Faye Chitwood Higgins, Cornelia. Whitfield Funeral Home, Baldwin, is in charge of arrangements. Rev. Marvin Oglesby Sr. Rome The Rev. Marvin Harold Oglesby Sr., of 302 S. Hanks St., died Monday, March 9, 1998. A native of Stephens County, the Rev. Oglesby was a son of Roger L. and Georgia Oglesby. He was a well-known business owner and minister in Toccoa before moving to Rome. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at Crossroad Baptist Church, Toccoa, with the Rev. G.L. Walton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Barbara L. Oglesby; a son, Marvin H. Oglesby Jr., Calhoun; seven sisters, Pearl Howard, Lavonia, Sara Jacob, Savannah, Barbara Neal, Homer, Carolyn Merriett and Peggy Samuel, both of Houston Texas, Marcella Brinkley, Toccoa, and Mary Mayfield, Commerce; and two brothers, Terrell E. Loma Quinlan Winterville Loma Lee Earle Quinlan of 1100 Double Bridges Road died Friday, March 13, 1998. A native of Brownsville, Texas, Mrs. Quinlan was a daughter of the late William and Lillian Newman Earle. She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and a member of St. George's Episcopal Church, Germantown, Texas. There are no local services scheduled at this time. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Bobby Gray, Winterville; a brother, William J. Earle, Raleigh, N.C.; two grandchildren; and three nieces and a nephew.
