She was employed by High Performance Systems and was a member of First Apostolic Church of Bishop. Eugene Jolly Watkinsville Eugene E. Jolly, 91, died Saturday, March 14, 1998. A native of DeKalb County, Mr. Jolly was a son of the late Clem Jolly and Addie Anderson Jolly. A retired lithographer with Stein Printing Co. in Atlanta, he was a member of Antioch Christian Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Antioch Christian Church with the Rev. David Perkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Hazel P. A native of Granite Fall, N.C., Mrs. King was a daughter of the late George Wesley Duncan and Mary Winebarger Duncan and the widow of Neal King. She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce King, and a grandson, Clint King. She was a homemaker and a member of Glade United Methodist Church in Carlton. A native of Greene County, Mrs. Mooney was a daughter of the late Charles Ernest Dreyer and Willie Blount and the widow of Ralph M. Mooney. She was a graduate of Greensboro High School and worked as a bookkeeper at Citizens Union Bank. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro. Lawrence Frazier Shackelford Jr., 40, of 125 Covey Lane died Friday, March 13, 1998. A native of Waihiwa, Hawaii, the Rev. Shackelford was a son of Evelyn Brown Shackelford of Tallahassee, Fla., and the late Lawrence F. Shackelford Sr. He was preceded in death by a son, Luke Anthony Shackelford. He had lived in Athens for the past ten years, where he served as youth minister of Beech Haven Baptist Church. The Rev. Shackelford was a graduate of Palmetto High School, Palmetto, Fla., and a 1983 graduate of Mercer University. He received his master's degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1985. He was a Director for Impact in Toccoa for 13 years, a member of the Georgia Youth Ministers Fellowship, and a speaker for Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Clarke and Oconee Counties. He received the Barnabus Award in 1996 for being the most outstanding youth minister in Georgia, was past president of the Youth Ministers of Georgia in 1997, and was sports chaplain for the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Beech Haven Baptist Church with the Revs. DeWitt Mathews, Talmadge Mathews, Matt Brinkley and Dr. Stewart Simms officiating. A native of Homer, Mr. Sheridan was a son of the late Howard Sheridan and Bessie (Kimbel) Sheridan. He was a self-employed farmer, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was vice president of the Banks Co. Farm Bureau. Mr. Sheridan was a past master of Hudson Lodge #294, Commerce, a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner, a past worthy patron of the Eastern Star, and district grand deputy of the Eastern Star. Walton Smith Toccoa Walton Thesley Smith, 73, of 8558 Line Road died Saturday, March 14, 1998. A native of Stephens County, Mr. Smith was a son of the late DeLessep G. and Madge Clodfelter Smith. He was employed by Toccoa Foundry and Machine Company for some 34 years and later retired from the Georgia Department of Agriculture after 11 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Toccoa, the Rhodes Sunday school class and had served on the administrative board of the church.
