A native of Stephens County, Mrs. Blackwell was a daughter of the late Lester and Eugenia Fitzgerald Singleton and widow of Jesse Blackwell. She was preceded in death by a daughter and a stepdaughter. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at the Pruitte Funeral Home with the Revs. Hubert Carter, Harold LeCroy, and Leon Carson officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens, North. Survivors include three daughters, Glenell Smith, Toccoa, Terry Ann Carter, Royston, and Edna LeCroy, Carnesville; two sons, J.C. Blackwell, Demorest, and Bobby Joe Blackwell; a sister, Bonnie Saylors, Anderson, S.C.; a brother, Arville Singleton, Roanoke, Ala.; and 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren, 22 step-great-grandchildren, and 11 step-great-great-grandchildren. The family is at the home of Hubert and Terry Ann Carter, 1574 Dillard Bray Road, Royston. John Wyatt Duncan Vanna John Wyatt Duncan, 68, of 967 Rousey Duncan Road died Saturday, August 15, 1998. A native of Madison County, Mr. Duncan was a son of the late James Veal Duncan and Essie Bailey Duncan. He was the former owner and operator of John Duncan Tire Co. and a former member of the Elberton Rotary. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today at Berry Funeral Home, Elberton, with the Revs. Gary Purvis and Cleason Melton officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Elberton. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Brady Duncan; a daughter, Sandy Duncan Adams, Elberton; three sons, John Duncan Jr., Suwanee, Dwayne Yeargin, Elberton, and Dion Yeargin, Florence, S.C.; two brothers, Bailey Duncan, Vanna, and Joe Veal Duncan, Royston; and six grandchildren. He was a farmer and was preceded in death by two sons, Melvin Fulghum and Claude Fulghum. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Reynolds was a daughter of the late Mae Belle Parks Nunn and Thomas Love Nunn and widow of Paul Berryman Reynolds. She was a beautician and member of the Maysville Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. today at Maysville Baptist Church with the Revs. Robert Watson and Brian Stowe officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery.
