A native of Franklin County, Mr. Barrett was a son of the late Catter and Nora Chastian Barrett and widower of Ethel National Barrett. He was a saw mill laborer. Survivors include a daughter, Elloweise Barrett, Macon; and a brother, Buard Barrett, Maysville. A. Wayne Beatenbo Danielsville The Rev. A. Wayne Beatenbo, 59, of 1084 Shiloh-Fort Lamar Road died Thursday, April 16, 1998. A native of Henry County, Va., the Rev. Beatenbo was a son of the late Isiah Woodroe and George "Georgia" Fitts Beatenbo and was the widower of Linda White Beatenbo. He was a minister of Liberty Church and an Army veteran. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Evangelical Methodist Church with the Revs. Dennis Kesler, Glenn Guest and Wendell Hanley officiating. Burial will be in Welcome Avenue Holiness Church Cemetery. He was an Army veteran of World War II and retired from the Army Reserves and also the U.S. Post Office after 25 years. He was a member of National Association of Federal Employees, Prince Avenue Baptist Church and Keystone Sunday school class.
