A native of Walton County, Mrs. Casper was a daughter of the late William Wiley and Susie Beddingfield Sorrells and the widow of David Casper. She was of the Holiness faith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wise-Connolly Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sorrells Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home. Martha Christopher Athens Martha Ann Christopher, 49, of 341 Athens Ave. died Monday, Jan. 12, 1998. A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Christopher was a daughter of Nannie Lou Clark of Athens and the late Hill Christopher. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Nathan Mills officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Erwin was a son of the late Frederick and Martha Lucille Sisk Erwin. He was self employed as a carpenter and an Army veteran. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, Athens, with the Rev. Harry Warren officiating. Burial will be in Winterville Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Libby Thaxton, Rayle; four stepdaughters, Dawn Bieser, Patti Pointer and Leslie Spier, all of Manchester, and Lynn Cheatham, Murphy, N.C.; two stepsons, Howard Bieser, Panama City, Fla., and Mike Roth, Griffin; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Halford, 91, formerly of East McKeesport, Penn., died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 1997. Mrs. Halford was a daughter of the late Samuel S. and Grace Baily St. Clair. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. Graveside services were Dec. 17 in Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles, Penn., with the Rev. Bruce Quiggle officiating. A native of Macon County, N.C., Mrs. Howell was a daughter of the late Lovic Theodore and Alma Leona McCracken Watkins. She was employed with Gro Industries as a social service technician and was a member of Springfield Baptist Church, where she was superintendent of Sunday school and a member of the Mass Choir. Timothy Guy McClure Athens Timothy Guy McClure, 24, of 150 Dunwoody Drive died Sunday, Jan. 11, 1998. A native of Clarke County, Mr. McClure was a son of Larry and Jemmay Crowder McClure. He was a 1991 graduate of Cedar Shoals High School, where he was a band captain and active in the VICA Club. He attended Georgia Southern, Truett-McConnell and in 1995 graduated from the University of Georgia with and AB in psychology. He was an employee of Charter Winds Hospital, master counselor of Demolay and a member of the University Whitewater Club and Milledge Avenue Baptist Church. A native of Stevens, Mr. Smith was a son of Katie Mae Smith of Stevens. He was a construction laborer and had been employed for more than 20 years at Uniroyal. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church of God in Christ, Union Local 999, Sumner Lodge 5 of Masons and T. Thomas 2 of Royal Arch of Masons, and a former member of Blue Angels Motorcycle Club. William Wright Mount Airy William Amos Wright, 79, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998. A native of Banks County, Mr. Wright was a son of the late William Luther and Vallie Jane Patton Wright. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Gail Wright. He was an Army veteran of the European Conflict and received the Silver Star for gallantry. He was retired after 23 years from Cornelia Coca-Cola Bottling Co. and was a member and deacon of Hazel Creek Baptist Church, chairman of the church's cemetery committee, and a member of the Brotherhood and president of the Adult Men's Sunday School Class. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hazel Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Trent Smith and Billy Burrell and grandson Andy Wright officiating.
