A native of Kitsler, W.Va., he was a son of the late Edward William and Blanche Blankenship Malloy and the widower of Inez Hopkins Malloy. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Sue Malloy Jewel. He attended Lee College in Cleveland, Tenn., and was a graduate of Furman University in Greenville, S.C. He was a former teacher with Miracle Hill Ministries and was later transferred to the Greenville Rescue Mission where he served as manager of their thrift store. The Rev. Malloy was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired ordained minister with the Church of God and served as pastor of the Clemson Church of God and the Donaldson Church of God in Greenville. He also served on the board of directors for the Church of God Home for Children in Mauldin. She made her home in Macon from 1945 to 1973 where she was a dietitian with Macon Hospital and a member of Lynmore United Methodist Church. A native of Charleston, S.C., Mrs. Price was born Nov. 20, 1918, the daughter of Upson T. and Lillie McConnell Sanders. She was a lifelong resident of Athens. She was active in the Sewing Club and was an active former member of the Athens Women's Club. She was formerly active in the Ladies Garden Club, the Elk's Club Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Athens. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Olin Price, and a brother, William T. Sanders. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East.
