A native of Oconee County, S.C., Mrs. Clark was a daughter of the late Robert and Leala Mae Worley Hicks and was the widow of Billie Estes Clark. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hamby Funeral Home with the Revs. Dan Bartle and James Gunn officiating. Burial will be in the Franklin Memorial Gardens, Royston. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Payne, Lavonia, and Mary Davis, Cornelia; a sister, Grace Addis, Anderson, S.C.; a brother, Curtis Hicks, Birmingham, Ala.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Conrad 'Pete' Drake Danielsville Randolph Conrad "Pete" Drake, 49, of 739 Rock Quarry Road died Wednesday, Aug. 19 1998. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Drake was a son of Aurelia Adams Drake, Danielsville, and the late Rudolph Drake. An Army veteran, he was an electronic technician at Reliance, Athens, and a member of Friendship Baptist Church and the National Rifleman's Association. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Community Baptist Church with the Rev. Herman Nation officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Hazel Gurley Drake; two sons, Eric Conrad Drake, Comer, and Alex Randolph Drake, Danielsville; two brothers, Omer Rodney Drake and Rickey Kevin Drake, both of Danielsville; and a grandson. Pallbearers will be Frank Gurley, Tommy Gurley, Denver Gurley, James Gurley, Michael Hawks, David Guinn, Steve Guinn and Brian Adams. The family is at the residence. Willie Evans Commerce Willie Cleave Evans, 92, of 1736 Fort Lamar Road died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1998. A native of Banks County, Mr. Evans was a son of the late Joel Dowell and Mary Elizabeth Prickett Evans and was the widower of Johnnie Lou Lord Evans. He was a farmer and a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Beaverdam Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Wood officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Nadine Waters, Commerce; four sons, Bobby Evans, Jarrel Evans and Raguel Evans, all of Commerce, and Joel Evans, Trinity, N.C.; and 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Maxwell was a son of the late Roy Marco and Belle Fortson Maxwell. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was retired from Harmony Blue Granite Co. and a member and former deacon of Elberton First Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hicks Funeral Home with the Rev. C.E. Jackson officiating. Burial will in Elmhurst Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Sara Rice Maxwell; a daughter, Sally M. A native of Mitchell County, Pelham, Ga., Mr. McCoy was a son of the late Frank McCoy Sr. and Virginia McCoy. He was a veteran of World War II, a retired brick mason and a longtime member of Ebenezer Baptist Church West. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ebenezer Baptist Church West, 205 N. Chase St., with Dr. Winfred M. Pope officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Rowena B. A native of Habersham County, Mr. Moore was a son of the late Calter and Susie Pearl Henderson Moore. He was retired from Coats and Clarke after 40 years of service and a member of Chopped Oak Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge 309.
