A native of Madison County, Mrs. Chastain was a daughter of the late Rev. Henry T. and Rovie Meadows. She was a homemaker and had been employed as a textile worker. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and attended Mount Nebo United Methodist Church in Dallas, where she lived for the last 25 years. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Welcome Avenue Congregational Holiness Church with the Rev. Joe Condra officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include her husband, George Chastain; four daughters, Lila Brooks, East Point, Hazel White, Dallas, Kathy Chastain, Marietta, and Brenda Chastain, Paulding County; two sons, George Chastain Jr., Villa Rica, and Michael Chastain, Marietta; three sisters, Georgia Mae Holliday, Hot Springs, Ark., Jean Dupree, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Helen Perkins, Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Henry Meadows, Canton; and 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, is in charge of arrangements. Robert Lord Bogart Robert E. Lord, 73, of 130 South Church Street died Saturday, July 18, 1998. A native of Oconee County, Mr. Lord was a son of the late Lawton Thomas and Pearl Wall Lord. He was a retired inspector with USDA Poultry Division with 30 years of service. He was a member of Bogart Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite and a member of Bogart Methodist Church. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West, with the Rev. Albert Askew officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Patat Lord; a daughter, Robin Ayers, Carnesville; a sister, Bernice Lord, Bogart; a brother, Henry Lord, Monroe; and six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. James Mayo Sr. Stephens James Howard Mayo Sr., 82, of 949 Stephens-Salem Road died Saturday, July 18, 1998. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Mayo was a son of the late John and Annie Lou Lankford Mayo and was married to the late Mary Helen Smith Mayo. He was a retired automotive consultant and a member of Salem Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Crawford City Cemetery with the Revs. Jack Lindsay and Clayton Sanders officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Katherine Warren, Silver City, N.M.; two sons, Jim Mayo, Stockbridge, and Smith Mayo, Canton; a sister, Ann Lambert, Atlanta; and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Edward Lawrence Mulvey Winterville Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. today in the Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, Md., for Mr. Edward Lawrence Mulvey, 59, of 1740 Beaver Dam Rd., Winterville, Ga. James Gilmer will officiate. Mr. Mulvey died Saturday July 18, 1998 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Augusta following an extended illness. Mr. Mulvey was a native of Oakland, Md., and had lived in Georgia for the past nine years. He worked for the Clarke County Sheriff's Dept. in Maintenance for three years. He also worked for the Clarke County Housing Authority for one year. His most recent job was with the Environmental Protection Agency in the Senior Citizen Program. Mr. Mulvey had served in the U.S. Army and Navy and was a member of the Lutheran Church. Mr. Mulvey was preceded in death by a son, James Eric Mulvey and his father, James G. Mulvey. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Betty J. Truelove Mulvey; his mother, Mrs. Hildred Mulvey, Athens; three stepdaughters, Brenda J. Harper, Gainesville, Janie R. Bennett, Braselton, and Carol E. Hayes, Cumming; three stepsons, Lonnie C. Jones, Gainesville, Eric B. Jones, Athens, and Russell H. Jones, Winder; a brother, Thomas Michael Mulvey, Athens; and a number of stepgrandchildren. Ward's Funeral Home, Gainesville, is in charge of local arrangements. Frances Reynolds Toccoa Frances Rebecca Sanders Reynolds, 76, of 114 Terrell Drive died Saturday, July 18, 1998. A native of Anderson County, S.C., Mrs. Reynolds was a daughter of the late Elias Ep and Mary McAdams Sanders and widow of Robert Lee Reynolds Sr. She was retired from Wright Manufacturing Co.; a member of the First United Methodist Church of Toccoa, where she was an honorary member of the Administrative Board, a Sunday school teacher, and teacher of the Ladies Bible Class; and a volunteer worker at Stephens County Hospital and Toccoa Nursing Center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at the First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Bob Partridge, Jack Lamb, and Robert Reynolds Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Survivors include two sons, Rev. Robert Lee Reynolds Jr., Augusta, and Jerry Reynolds, Toccoa; and six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Scott Reynolds, Mark Reynolds, Chris Reynolds, Jerry Keith Reynolds, Dwain Skelnik and Derrick Jones. The family is at the residence. A native of Jackson County, Mr. White was a son of the late James and Amanda Griffeth White and widower of Inez Johnson White. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy White Newman. He was retired from the Georgia Dept. of Labor and was a member of the Winder First Baptist Church. He was former personnel manager for Lumite Division of Chicopee in Cornelia. He served on the Habersham Board of Education, was a Sunday school superintendent of Cornelia First Baptist Church and was active in many civic and business organizations. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at the Smith Funeral Home with the Revs. Nebs Stroupe and Caroline Leach officiating. The body will be placed in the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Marie White, Winder, and Mary White Whaley, Tampa, Fla.; a son, James Johnson White, Watkinsville; two sisters, Hilda Pruitt, Pendergrass, and Johnie Savage, East Bend, N.C.; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Willis was a daughter of the late Annie L. Mattox and widow of Samuel Glenn Willis. She was a member of St. Mary's C.M.E. Church and attended Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mack's Funeral Home, Hartwell, with the Rev. Dafton Watts officiating. Burial will be in Brown Grove Cemetery.
