Baus Cornelia Leola Garrett Baus, 82, of 8067 Pea Ridge Road, died Wednesday, March 18, 1998. A native of Habersham County, Mrs. Baus was a daughter of the late Enoch Jack and Gertrude Stewart Garrett and the widow of Elmer Baus. She was preceded in death by two sons, J.T. Meaders and Henry Meaders. She was a retired practical nurse and a member of a Baptist church in Green Cove Springs, Fla. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Acree-Davis Funeral Home, Toccoa, with the Rev. Jimmy Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Mount Bethel Church of God Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Robert Meaders, Cornelia; three sisters, Nell Adams, Oakwood, Beulah Edmondson, Gainesville, and Bonnie Adams, Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Herman Garrett, Mount Airy; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tom Meaders, Chris Meaders, William Fisher, Jack Meaders, Glenn House and Kenneth Garrett. The family is at the residence. Hubert P. Bobo Hartwell Hubert P. Bobo, 75, of 437 Athens St., died Tuesday, March 17, 1998. A native of Washington, D.C., Mr. Bobo was a son of the late Pierson David and Elizabeth Belle Fincham Bobo. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired commercial airline pilot. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Wilson officiating. Survivors include a son, Brandon R. Bobo. The family members are at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross. Desser Burt Penfield Desser Parker Burt, 90, of 1031 Callaway Road, died Wednesday, March 18, 1998. A native of High Shoals, Mrs. Burt was a daughter of the late Cleo Haggard and James Elijah Parker and widow of Henry Harrison Burt. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Almedia Parker. She was a weaver at Mary Leila Cotton Mill and a member of Penfield Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Greenview Cemetery, Greensboro, with the Rev. John McMillian officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Carol B. Orbinski, West Palm Beach, Fla.; three sons, Henry C. Burt, St. Augustine, Fla., Robert C. Burt, Madison, and James W. Burt, Penfield; a sister, Frances Usery, Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Vernon Parker, Greensboro; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Hale Cronic Hoschton Hale Cronic, 67, of 189 W. Jefferson St., died Wednesday, March 18, 1998. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Cronic was a son of the late Ada McDonald and Jasper P. Christine Huff Carlton Christine Jarvis Huff, 76, of 384 New Hope Vesta Road, died Sunday, March 15, 1998. A native of Point Peter, Oglethorpe County, Ga., Mrs. Huff was born Nov. 30, 1921, a daughter of the late James and Myrtis Strong Jarvis and the widow of Carlie Huff. She was preceded in death by a son, James Huff, and a sister, Catherine Jarvis. She was retired with 26 years of service from Granite City Bank, Elberton, and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Johnson, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in Jennings Cemetery.
