A native of Madison County, Mrs. Brown was a daughter of the late Ira and Bessie Mae Duncan and widow of William J. Brown. She was a member of Comer Baptist Church and taught in the Madison County school system for 40 years. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville. Burial will be in Vineyard's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Jimmy Brown, Comer; a sister, Martha McCannon, Comer; a brother, Ira Duncan, Comer; two grandchildren, Matt Brown and Tim Brown, both of Comer; and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mattie F. Cooper Athens Mattie F. Cooper, 92, of 355 B Athens Ave. died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998. A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Cooper was a daughter of the late Ike and Leila Davenport. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Farmington, with the Rev. Jerry David officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A native of Thomaston, Mrs. Davis was a 1939 graduate of the University of Georgia. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Winter Park, William P. DuVall Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, National Society Colonial Dames of America, National Society Daughters of Barons of Runnymeade, Duclos Society, Women's Club of Winter Park and Winter Park Town Club, and president of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, Beta Nu Chapter. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens. Survivors include her husband, Col. Harry J. Davis; a daughter, Ann Davis Thompson, Marietta; three sons, H. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Floyd was a daughter of the late Frank and Lula Ward Poole and widow of Luther Canady and Brannon Floyd. "Radio" Fowler, 91, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998. Mr. Fowler spent four years in the Navy Seebees during World War II. He was retired after 44 years at Georgia Power and was a member of Statham United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. A native of Georgia, Mr. Hill was a son of the the late Thomas Jackson and Minnie Taylor Hill. He was an auto mechanic. Van Ducen Masterson, 64, of 207 Liberty Road died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998. A native of Pennington County, S.D., Mrs. Masterson was a daughter of the late Frank Van Ducen and Margaret Fillingham Van Ducen Purcell. She was a homemaker. Peacock. He was owner and operator of Peacock's Pool and Skating Rink and was of the Baptist faith.
