A native of Habersham County, Mrs. Bertschin was a daughter of the late Jesse P. and Emma Burrell Black and was the widow of Albert Bertschin. She was retired from Coats & Clark, a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and a former member of American Legion Auxiliary. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Revs. Jarrett Ragan and Luther Williams officiating. Burial will be in Carnes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Sanders and Mary Bruce, both of Toccoa; two sons, Paul E. Bertschin, Toccoa, and Frank E. Bertschin, Jonesboro; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and nieces and nephews. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Couch was a daughter of the late Ruth Shields Baker and Henry Baker Sr. She was retired from Rockwell Automation Inc. and was a member of Living Word Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Asheville Teachers College, and avid golfer and bridge player, and a member of Contemporary Club of Dover, Dover Reading Circle, Newton Country Club and Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club. Alton Finch Danielsville Alton Van Finch, 74, of 3510 Booger Hill Road died Monday, July 20, 1998. A native of Nash County, N.C., Mr. Finch was a son of the late G.N. and Pella Daniel Finch. He had lived in this area since 1989. Mr. Finch was a graduate of East Carolina University and received his Doctorate of Business Education from the University of Northern Colorado. He was retired from both the University of Mississippi and East Carolina University and was a former professor at the University of Georgia. Mr. Finch was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Athens. Survivors include his wife, Leona S.
